Take Over Ep is OUT! We worked very hard on this one and I’m super proud of the result. Link in my bio. Enjoy! Big thanks to : @vertigerecords @urubumtl for the mix/master and his support. @blurinside for the crazy remix @josuezabeau for the amazing artwork This new EP from Yunam takes a more melodic techno direction, while remaining rooted in the sci-fi universe so dear to the artist. These three tracks are conceived as the narration of a popular uprising at the heart of a techno-fascist world. A story that captures anticipation, the urgency to act, and the confrontation such an event entails, almost like the eve, the very last moments before, and the heat of a battle itself. The driving and fast-paced nature of techno reinforces this feeling of urgency and the sense of euphoria inherent to such an event. “The crisis consists precisely in the fact that the old is dying and the new cannot be born; in this interregnum a great variety of morbid symptoms appear.” — Antonio Gramsci taken in Montreal, Quebec by @vertigerecords

On Sunday, March 29, Vertige returns with a release night at La Sotterenea. A gathering to mark @__yunam__ new EP through three intimate live electronic performances, supported by @blurinside and @urubumtl , between melodic techno, sci-fi atmospheres, tension and acceleration. The record traces the arc of an uprising inside a techno-fascist world: anticipation, rupture, confrontation. A language of urgency, fast motion, and inner pressure. Visuals by @hugo_le_bihan will support the live sets with brutalist archive footage and minimal, high-contrast treatments, pushing the space further into raw signal, fractured memory, and controlled intensity. A night to celebrate the release, reconnect, and let sound and image lock into the same pulse. Low light, hard edges, no excess. Artwork event : @hugo_le_bihan Artwork EP : @josuezabeau 🤍 Take care of yourself and each other $15 no adding fees. by @vertigerecords

Next week, Vertige will find its way back to Velours for a second time. We’ve been scheming ways to extend the artistic conversation between our events and the artists who shape them. This gathering continues our exploration of live exhibition, where machines twist and respond in real time. From slow trips to breakneck pulses, tripped-out melodies and mental hues, we’ve gathered six artists who will let the essence of their sound set the tone. A space to listen differently, feel alternatively. See you there? 9pm to 3am 3455 Saint-Laurent Ticket link in bio (starting at 12$) visuals by @victordevenir taken in Velours by @vertigerecords

Each gathering tells a different story. Live acts offer a raw vision of sound, working machines and instruments, crafting performances for the moment. Live music and tattooing meet where creation is raw and irreversible. On the 5th of June Vertige will exhibit with @velours.studio during @muralfestival around 2 live-acts performances, we curated artists of different flavors who all have their distinct place and sound. An auteur in her own rights, @magnanime_music creates with immersive experimental nuances, embracing mistakes of technology and recycling off noises in her beat-driven repertoire. Born in the underground depths of Montreal’s DIY scene, @__0no_____ is a project rooted in raw expression and community energy. Ono delivers fully improvised, hardware only sets that blur the line between performance and ritual. This event is about breaking away from the familiar, rethinking space and sometimes revisiting old ideas, experimenting and discovering. Free entree, come early, claim your piece. We’re deeply thankful to our sponsor @dispensaire.micro to help us in making this happening. taken in Velours by @vertigerecords
