Avery & Blake at Saint Mary's Cathedral and The Driskill. Soft pink florals framed the cathedral steps, while the reception featured lush arrangements, candlelight, and the beautiful architecture of one of Austin's most recognizable hotels. What stood out most to me was the way this couple continued to find little moments to connect and steal glances with one another throughout the weekend.

Labor Day marks the end of the social summer (we’d love it if the weather could get the memo!) and the start of fall wedding season, and we wanted to look back at this June wedding that totally felt like summer in every way while we reflect.

This summer, our team has been busy with all different types of creative projects. We’ve photographed some fabulous weddings, so many sweet families and milestones @khcollective.co_lifestyle, some amazing rising high school seniors, created some one of a kind prints and albums, and so much more. Some of your most treasured photos from your wedding day might not have you in them, or even be on the shot list.

Ok, hear us out. Of course your couple’s portraits, that first kiss as husband and wife, all the details, and all the moments that you’ve planned for matter so much. We love being able to honor those.

But, there are certain moments in your day like your cocktail hour where your lead photographer is right with you grabbing those moments, and another member of your photo team is with your guests.

These are the people you love most who will probably not all be in the same room together very often. Your family and friends celebrating with you while catching up. Your college buddies grabbing a drink together. Your mom seeing her best friends she hasn’t seen in a while. Family friends asking for a quick shot because they can’t remember the last time they were all dressed up together or had a family portrait done. Your grandparents soaking it all in.

These are absolutely photos that mean so much, and they only get more sentimental as the years go on. We are here to document every moment of your day, and that includes the people who have gathered to make it memorable.
