Not every product earns a place in my routine.

If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know I don’t fall in love with every launch.
I’m incredibly fussy.

Something beautiful happens when you finally decide to approve of yourself and stop trying to be that version of you and or fit what you think others want….

And that’s not because you’ve become perfect…

But because you’ve stopped waiting to be.

Our brains are fascinating. They aren’t designed to make us happy; they’re designed to keep us safe. They hold onto old stories because, once upon a time, those stories protected us.

“Don’t be too much.”
“Keep everyone happy.”
“Be liked.”
“Don’t rock the boat.”

The problem is… many of those stories are no longer keeping us safe.

They’re keeping us small.

For years, I kept recreating the same pattern because my nervous system mistook familiarity for safety.

That wasn’t peace.

It was programming.

And this is where Rapid Tapping® entered my life.

As a licensed @rapidtapping Practitioner, trained by the wonderful Poppy Delbridge, I’ve learnt that we can gently teach our nervous system something new.

Not through force.

Not through pretending.

But through regulation.

Combined with my own Makeup Your Face, Makeup Your Mind™️ philosophy, I’ve realised confidence isn’t something we find…

It’s something we practise.

Every time I approve of myself.

Every time I allow a compliment to land instead of brushing it away.

So here’s my little weekend reminder…

When joy arrives… don’t rush past it.

When your chest feels full of love… stay there for a moment.

When the dopamine flows… let your brain remember that feeling too.

Because what we repeat becomes familiar.

And what becomes familiar starts to feel safe.

Perhaps your next chapter isn’t waiting for you to become someone else.

Perhaps it’s waiting for you to finally become yourself.

This is the real game changer…

Before you say anything.
Before you do anything.
Before you wonder what they’ll think…

Approve of yourself.

When those little thoughts creep in…
Have I got it wrong?
Should I make myself smaller?
Should I just keep the peace?

Pause.

And gently whisper…

“I approve of you.”

I’ve started saying those four words to myself every single day ( all day long - in my head and softly out loud when in the ladies 🤭)

“I approve of you.”

And something beautiful has happened.

The noise has become quieter.
The doubt has become softer.
My authentic self has become louder.

I’m choosing me more often.

If you’re looking for confidence, maybe it doesn’t begin with other people believing in you.

Maybe it begins with you believing in you.

So today…
approve of yourself and then approve of yourself again just to make it clear that you do!!!

You have to say it like you mean it!!!

And thank you, Louise Hay, whose words shaped my grandmother, my mother… and now me.

May approving of yourself be the catalyst for a life filled with more confidence, more purpose, and more peace.

This Weeks Minute is my take on Marcus Aurelius • Meditations

Protect your power.

Protect your peace.

Protect your worth.

Every morning we wake with a choice. We can’t always choose what happens to us… but we can choose how we meet it.

Marcus Aurelius, the great Roman Emperor, wrote these words almost 2,000 years ago in his private journal, Meditations. They still feel remarkably modern because they remind us of something we so easily forget:

You have power over your mind.

Not over other people’s opinions.

Not over their behaviour.

Not over yesterday.

But over the thoughts you allow to take root today.

So this week, don’t negotiate away your truth to make someone else comfortable.

Don’t diminish your purpose because doubt arrives.

Don’t underestimate your potential because fear speaks louder than faith.

Wake up each morning with gratitude that you get another chance to live, to love, to learn, to create and to become.

And I feel incredibly grateful that through my work with Elysium, I’m given the freedom to express, to explore and to show up exactly as I am. That kind of trust gives you strength. It reminds you that when you’re allowed to be fully yourself, your power expands.

That is the essence of Stoicism: we cannot control what life brings, but we can always choose our response.

And perhaps that’s where self-worth truly begins.

Not in waiting for the world to value you…

…but in deciding that you already do.

I’ve realised something… I can live in a holiday mindset

I’m changing my belief system one day at a time -That holiday dress rule is over ( RIP 🪦)

For years, I treated beautiful dresses like rewards.

Holidays.
Special occasions.
Someone else’s invitation.

But what if Monday is special enough?

What if I’m reason enough?

This dress has become my reminder that worthiness isn’t something I earn… it’s something I choose.

So as I count down to 50, I’m changing more than my wardrobe…

I’m changing what I believe I deserve.

No more saving the good dress.
No more waiting for life to begin.

Today…
I’m on holiday.
In my mind.

And honestly…
that’s where the best holidays begin.”

I’m all for a little sunshine… ☀️

EVERY PERSON LEAVES YOU WITH SOMETHING.

A blessing.
A lesson.
Or the courage to become someone new. 🤍

I’ve come to believe that people enter our lives for a reason, but not always for a lifetime.

For a long time, I held on. I held on to people, to hope, to old versions of relationships and to stories I’d written in my mind about how things could be.

But here’s what I’ve learnt…

Sometimes the hardest thing to let go of isn’t the person. It’s the story.

The story that they’ll change.

The story that it’s your responsibility to make everything work.

The story that says walking away means you’ve failed.

It doesn’t.

We can’t control who comes into our lives, how long they stay, or the choices they make.

But we can choose who we listen to.

We can choose who has a seat at our table.

We can choose to stop revisiting places, conversations and relationships that only reopen old wounds.

That isn’t giving up.

That’s growing.

These days, I try to see every person as a gift of some kind. Some have brought me incredible joy. Some have brought me difficult lessons. Others have given me the courage to finally choose myself.

And honestly… I’m grateful for every single one of them.

Because each encounter has shaped the woman I’m still becoming.

So here’s my little Minute with Mala offering this week…

Approve of yourself. Trust the season. Make up your mind before you make up your face.

Let people come.

Let people go.

And trust that what is truly meant for you will never require you to abandon yourself to keep it.

Instant radiance…. I’ve got you covered!!

This is the skin booster I grab when I’m looking for some Illumination and that lit from within skin.

I just love how it’s a highbred in my mind a mix of makeup and skincare

It’s shimmery skin without the heaviness of makeup I just love this @111skin ROSE GOLD RADIANCE BOOSTER. The perfect addition for this oh so hot weather as it gives holiday vibes and I’m so I’m so here for the bare skin glowy look at the moment….

I’m finding myself grabbing the skin tints of a morning and the tinted SPF’s ( and there are many to choose from)
