My grandfather the artist Haim Shmuel Sultan at one of his two offices at the boarding school ORT Institute for the Deaf on rue de L’Oise, Casablanca, Morocco around 1957. The Chariot with Horses in the 2nd photo was made for Mohamed V, who took it for his home. My grandfather would previously attend the prestigious Beaux Arts in Paris. The other lady in the photos is my grandmother, Rachel Azran, she was his art student at 18 he was 38, they would get married and she would become a teacher at the school. by @verynotimportantguy

#REPOST That time in 2024 when we got invited by the Prince of Monaco @albertandcharleneofmonaco for his Glacier Fund event with my date princess Alexa Giuliani @tennzzy and a little pic of Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan (Finance Minister of Singapore) and @annefontaine amazing designer who you may have seen on the croisette in Cannes in front of the festival arena and on Dubai bling with incredibly smart daughter I met at the dinner staying at the @marinabaysands (longest infinity pool in the world). Life is fun devour it while there is time.

Before man was created, Truth said he should not be created because “he is all lies” (Genesis Rabbah 8:5). Why? Because if human beings were made of perfect truth, every mistake would already condemn them. A world of absolute judgment leaves no room to fall, learn, repent, forgive, or choose good. So Truth is cast to the earth, where “Truth will spring from the earth” (Psalms 85:12). Man must live in a world containing both possibilities: good and evil, truth and falsehood, creation and destruction, so choosing good actually means something.

That is the story hidden in the letters.

ת — Truth is the destination, not the beginning.
ש — Fire gives warmth, light and life, but the same fire can burn.
Then come ק ר — kar, cold. Put Shin’s fire into them and we get שקר, sheker — lie. A convincing lie needs some truth inside it. This is the role of the satan: not another god, but the adversary who opposes, tempts and accuses.

Between the sides stands צ — the Tzadik, the righteous person who chooses correctly.

פ — the mouth: words can give life or cause harm.
ע — the eye: we can look with humility or turn away.
נ — falling and ס — support: humans fall, so the world needs something that catches them.

מלך — King: power must be governed.
י — Yud: something enormous can begin as a tiny point.
ט — good: goodness can exist even while hidden.
ז — rest and weapon: the same strength can make peace or war.
ד — the poor and ג — the giver: need creates the possibility of kindness.

Then comes ב — blessing. This is why creation begins with בראשית, Bereshit, with Bet: the world cannot begin with perfect judgment. It must begin with blessing and kindness.

And quietly before everything stands א — Aleph: One.

So good and evil are not two equal gods. God creates a world where humans can choose. Without the possibility of doing wrong, choosing right would not really be a choice. We fall, someone lifts us, we learn, and Truth slowly “springs from the earth.” by @verynotimportantguy

🕊️✨ BETWEEN HEAVEN & EARTH ARE WINGS

👦🏻 Imagine you’re five.

You whisper to Hashem. 🙏
🗣️ Your voice goes UP ⬆️
🪽 Wings carry it toward Heaven.

Then a message comes DOWN ⬇️
🐦 through birds → 🌙 dreams → 🌍 our world.

Here’s what blew my mind studying Zohar:

Birds sing intensely at dawn 🌅—when we can still be in REM-rich sleep. 🧠💭 The Zohar describes birds carrying messages AND messages appearing in dreams.

My modern hypothesis—not the Zohar’s claim:
✨ Heaven → 🪽 → 🐦 → 🎶 → 🌙 REM/dream → 🧠

Between Heaven & Earth… are WINGS. 🪽

🔯 SUKKOT II — WHY IS A HUT SO HOLY?

The Zohar says the Sukkah is a mini-map of Creation: Divine energy flows through 10 channels called Sefirot.

👩 Binah/Ima = “Supernal Mother,” sheltering her children: ZA ♂, giver/transmitter + Malchut ♀, receiver bringing that flow into our world.

🔯 Even סוכה=91:
כו=26=יהוה → ZA/giver
סה=65=אדני → Malchut/receiver
26+65=91. Pinchas goes beyond Emor, weaving them → יאהדונהי=91: 🌌 Heaven+🌍Earth united.

👼 The 2 Keruvim over the Ark represent the same pair. Facing each other = Hashem+Israel in harmony; turned away = separation. The Sukkah is reconnection.

🕊️ Yesod=connection: Yosef=righteousness/covenant; Shlomo here שלום/Shalom=peace+union.

🔢 Its measurements repeat the map: 10↓ Divine Light +10↑ Returning Light=20; יו״ד=10+6+4=20. The Sefirot form 2+3+4=9; an extra handbreadth completes 10. כ=20→Keter, Crown beyond sight.

🔤 Even Sukkah shapes become letters: alley→ב • corner→ג • hut→ד • furnace→כ. They connect to the 7 Doubles בג״ד כפר״ת + 7 planets:
ב Saturn ♄ • ג Jupiter ♃ • ד Mars ♂ • כ Sun ☉ • פ Venus ♀ • ר Mercury ☿ • ת Moon ☽
Soft/strong=♂/♀ → Mercy/Judgment.

☀️ “Nothing new under the Sun”: Sun=ZA sending flow from above; Malchut receives it below. Pekudei gives the same chain: Binah→ZA→Malchut→our world; like voice→speech, the receiver completes what the giver transmits.
💡 Idea → 📡 transmitted → 🗣️ expressed → 🌍 reality.

🏠 צל=shadow + closed ם, like 4 walls → צלם=image. The Sukkah’s shadow protects the soul, not only the body.

🌴 Finally YOU hold the map: 👁️ 3 myrtles=eyes • 👄 2 willows=lips • 🌴 lulav=spine/connection • ❤️ etrog=heart.

6 directions×3=18=חי/LIFE. לולב=68 +4 kinds=72=חסד/Chesed. 🌴 RIGHT=love • 🍋 LEFT=judgment. 🤲 You unite both.

🔮 HUMILITY, WISDOM & PROPHECY — THE ZOHAR

The Zohar gives a beautiful map of receiving rather than projecting.

🙏 HOD — humility, acknowledgment, surrender.
🏆 NETZACH — endurance, action, overcoming.

Neither is complete alone. Netzach moves forward; Hod knows how to bow and receive. And the Zohar places prophecy precisely through these two Sefirot together.

📖 ZOHAR, PEKUDEI 608

וְכַד הֲווֹ נְבִיאִים בְּהוּ בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל, הֲווֹ נַטְלִין נְבוּאָה דִּלְהוֹן, מִתְּרֵין עַמּוּדִין עִלָּאִין דְּאוֹרַיְיתָא סָמִיךְ עָלַיְיהוּ.

“When there were prophets in Israel, they drew their prophecy from the two supernal pillars upon which the Torah is supported.”

Those two pillars are Netzach + Hod.

But there is another requirement: seek Wisdom.

📖 ZOHAR, PEKUDEI 529

כְּדֵין שָׁאַל לָהּ בְּרָזָא דְּחָכְמְתָא דְּמָארֵיהּ, וּכְפוּם הַהִיא חָכְמְתָא דְּרָדִיף אֲבַתְרָהּ וְאַדְבַּק, הָכִי יַהֲבֵי לֵיהּ אַגְרֵיהּ.

The soul is asked about “the secret of the Wisdom of its Master,” and is rewarded according to the Wisdom it pursued and grasped.

The Zohar goes even further: prophecy, vision and dream are not identical. Prophecy flows through Netzach + Hod, while dream exists on a lower level associated with Hod.

✨ THE LESSON

Netzach: have the strength to pursue Truth.
Hod: have the humility to receive Truth.
Chochmah: seek Hashem’s Wisdom rather than your own certainty.

The spiritual paradox is beautiful:

The more desperately the ego wants to be the prophet, the less receptive the vessel becomes.

Quiet the ego. Seek Wisdom. Listen before speaking. Act when called.

You cannot receive what is Above while remaining completely full of yourself.
