Details from the new studio🪄✨💓

So very grateful to be able to work in my own space with you guys. I hope you love this space just as much as I do. A lot of love and care went into creating this lil slice of my soul (thanks mom, dad & uncle marke!) and I’m so incredibly excited to invite you in🥰

Since day 1, my priority as a tattooer has always been you guys. No amount of notoriety, fame, money, acclaim would ever equate the feeling I get when I get to see you leave my chair just a bit happier with how you look. Tattoos have been a place for me to discover a love within myself I never thought was achievable. To have the opportunity to bestow just a semblance of self confidence onto you is not something I take lightly, and will always be my driving force of why I remain within this industry.

One of my mentors told me once that when your client is in your chair, it’s their birthday. The whole day is about them.
This studio is for you, and you better believe it’s your birthday the second you step into that door.

A note to my fellow artists. Your clients are here to get a piece of YOUR artwork on them for the rest of their time on this earth. They saw your work and decided they wanted to carry a piece of you with them forever. I fear some of us may have lost the plot along the way, and think tattooing is here to serve us, when it’s always been the other way around. We are here to serve tattooing. We are here to cultivate an art form that has been with us for a millennia. It’s easy to let ourselves become misguided when times are tough, but remember why you fell in love with this. You were also once just a client with a dream and a hunger to create. Don’t lose that.

But most importantly, we are here because of our clients, and it just so happens to be their birthday. Tiger tattoo design tufted onto a towel taken in Chilliwack, British Columbia by @veryuncooltattoos

Arcanine from my million and one year old pre-drawn designs for Ella 🔥 We started this fellow last year so the linework is mostly healed with a couple touch ups here and there.

I remember when I was a child, and I had discovered that Pokémon, in fact, could never be real, I was exceptionally devastated purely because I could never meet an Arcanine in real life. I mean what person in their right mind would not want a giant fluffy orange Samoyed that breathes fire occasionally? It was a solemn day for little me, but we press on. Perhaps someday with technological and genetic advances we can make Pokémon real and I can finally have my giant fire puppy. A girl can dream.

A memorial tattoo of sweet Nermal done for @coltown 🩶

We based the colouring off of their real cat Nermal, who had the most BEAUTIFUL green eyes.

Adopted at 1 year old with the name Faith - Nermal’s first owner @sugar.lestrange took one look at her and decided the name didn’t suit her. She would be known as Nermal forever more, given her uber cuddly nature. Very fitting for a sweet little grey cat. Nermal had a long, love filled life of 18 years, and I’m so fortunate to have done this piece and learned of her story.

Nermal also had a little black dot in her eye, that we very subtly included.

Swipe to see a photo of gorgeous Nermy ♡

Always a privilege to memorialize our beloved pets any way I can. I’m definitely more of an animal person than a people person, so every tale you share of your pets brings me such peace. Thank you to everyone who trusts me with such an important task. I do not take it lightly.

Going through the archives because I have SO many tattoos I’ve forgotten to post. A tale as old as time.

Here’s a rock lobster I did for my bestie @jammyapollo 🦞

I know we don’t have many lobster joints on the west coast (and especially not in Chilliwack) but if anyone has any recommendations of a good lobster roll place plz comment your faves !!!!
