Art and Design Faculty and Staff Exhibition at the CSUN Galleries

I am grateful to the CSUN Galleries team for including my work in this biannual group exhibition. Special thanks to @hollyjerger and @erikaostrander for organizing and curating such an outstanding show.

In addition to my own work I also included few of my personal favorites.

Barragán: Color and Light Study I, II, III, IV, 2025

These photographs explore the relationship between color and light, qualities that define Luis Barragán's architecture. In each image, I sought to capture the visual richness created by their interaction and the delicate balance between them. Neither color nor light dominates, instead, they co-exist in perfect harmony.
The grid introduced in this simple, almost two-dimensional installation adds another layer inspired by Barragán's work. Rather than reconstructing the architectural grids found in his facades, I apply the graphic design grid that I use in my own work. It is the organizational framework I use in every project, regardless of scale. This installation becomes an intersection of two grids: the architectural grid embedded in Barragán's buildings and the graphic design grid that shapes my way of creating the graphic design layouts.

Few images from the exhibition of Frank Gehry’s works @gagosian gallery in LA. His sculptures of fish had so much movement in the way how the fish were interacting. I could see them effortlessly swimming between the walls of the Disney Concert Hall.

Exhibition Fashioning Chinese Women: Empire to Modernity @LACMA was such a unique treat. Amazing fabrics, colors, patterns and simple cuts with great attention to details. I loved customized mannequins by multitalented fashion designer @jasonwu. Sharing this with you @_majalee was really special. by @vesnade3ign

Iwan Baan: Rome-Las Vegas: Bread and Circuses exhibition @sciarc + additional creative moments from SCI-Arc

“In Rome – Las Vegas: Bread and Circuses, Baan presents a curated selection of photographs made in 2022 and 2023, offering insight into both architecture and photography today. Fifty years after Denise Scott Brown and Robert Venturi's now canonical Learning From Las Vegas (1972), the images move from sky to street across both cities, revealing unexpected similarities and rediscovering Las Vegas's extravaganza in the streets of Rome.”
