🚨🐇 CALICIVIRUS: Wild Rabbit Control Program 🐇🚨

The NSW Government will release Rabbit Haemorrhagic Diseases Virus ( RHDV1-K5) into the wild rabbit population in Greater Sydney and the Central Coast on March 2nd 2026. This is to help control the wild rabbit population.

PET RABBITS CAN BE AFFECTED BY RHDV so it’s important to Vaccinate them before March 1, 2026.

Tigers story 💛
Tiger and his siblings are under the care of the wonderful staff at @safeanimalrehoming and when they noticed that Tiger was quickly deteriorating they acted without hesitation and brought him in to see Dr Chris.
Sweet little Tiger was admitted to hospital and diagnosed with a suspected kidney infection sending him in to total renal failure, there was little hope that he would recover and we feared for the worst 😿

After 7 days of supportive care, intravenous fluid therapy, antibiotics and hand feeding this little fighter went from barely surviving to thriving! 🤩
Today Tiger came in for a recheck and miraculously his kidney function is back to normal! He is back to being a happy, playful and curious kitten ❤️

Tiger will soon be up for adoption and is looking forward to finding his forever home, but requests that his new family enjoy cuddles, play and silly kitten antics 😽
If you’d like to find out more about the amazing work @safeanimalrehoming does you can visit their instagram or check out their website https://www.saferehoming.com.au

Mr Fungus came in for his annual glow-up ✨😸
He had a full health check, dental exam, parasite control and his F3 vaccination 💉- because staying this adorable is serious business!
Annual vet visits aren’t just for vaccines, but staying up to date with them is crucial to ensure our cats are protected against serious, preventable diseases. Annual check-ups help us catch health issues early and keep your cat feeling their best for years to come.

Not sure when your pets due for their annual check-up? We send out email and text reminders to all clients so you know when it’s time to schedule a visit.

If you’d like to book your pet in for an annual health check or just find out when they’re due, ☎️ call us on 02 8964 7906 and speak to one of our friendly nurses 👩‍⚕️

The northern beaches has a very high tick population and these nasty parasites like to attach themselves to our beloved furry friends. To protect your pets from paralysis ticks make sure to do regular and thorough tick checks as well as staying up to date with their tick prevention.

To find out more about tick prevention call us on 02 8964 7906 ☎️

Meet Gucci 💛
This brave little chichi was taken to SASH to receive urgent treatment for tick paralysis then transferred to Vet-O for on-going treatment and supportive care with Dr Chris Hong. Gucci spent 4 days in hospital with us and has thankfully made a full recovery.
Tick paralysis can be life threatening and treatment is costly. Luckily Gucci’s owners had pet insurance to relieve the heavy cost so they could focus on Guccis care and recovery.

Regular tick prevention is the best protection. For more information on how to protect your four-legged-friends during tick season, ☎️call us on 02 8964 7906 to speak with one of our nurses.

If you suspect your pet has a tick, get them to the vet ASAP!
