Ballet flats got an update and they’re making last season’s look a little dated.

The new styles come up higher on the foot giving you more coverage. They’re like the cooler older sister to the classic ballet flat. They’re more modern, more comfortable and have a clear point of view.

Meet our newest REAL Woman of REALM: Jamie Lewin ✨

Fashion designer, stylist, founder of Vetted, and true tastemaker, Jamie has spent 25 years helping women dress with intention, confidence, and a point of view that feels completely their own. Her career has included work with brands like J.Crew, Ralph Lauren, Piperlime, and Gap, and today she continues to shape style through creative direction, consulting, styling, and Vetted.

There used to be a blog called They All Hate Us that I was completely obsessed with.

It was run by two Australian women with incredible taste. There was almost no writing. Just an endless scroll of beautiful, inspiring images.

At the time, I was Head of Design & Trend for Piperlime, and I would wake up on Saturday mornings, make my tea, climb back into bed with my laptop and scroll…and scroll…and scroll.

This was when Instagram only let you post one image at a time, so this was basically my personal inspiration feed.

When a new season is approaching, I start collecting images. Outfits I want to wear. Colors I’m thinking about. Pieces I want to try styling differently. Things I might want to buy. Little styling details that make me stop scrolling.

So this week’s newsletter is my version of that old-school inspiration feed.

Less talking. More images.

A whole lot of curated fall inspiration, with a few scrappy thoughts from me along the way.

So instead of packing away your feminine summer styles, give them a fall update.

Ok this is more than 5 looks!

When packing for a full month in Greece, I made sure to pack pieces and colors that could go back to each other in multiple ways. That way I never ran out of options and outfits, no matter what the plans were.

From boat days to beach clubs, camp drop offs to long lunches, everything worked together to give me a wardrobe I never got tired of.
