Y como dice Kobe Bryant, the only way failure exist is if you decide to not progress from it.

#PR #volleyball 🇵🇷❤️💙🫰 by @vevg_

Why am I choosing to share this?
Because grief can feel incredibly lonely, and if sharing my journey reminds even one person that they are not alone, then every vulnerable word is worth it.
For a long time, I questioned whether I should keep my pain to myself. It's easier to smile, say "I'm okay," and convince everyone, including yourself, that you're fine. But the truth is, healing doesn't begin when we hide our pain. It begins when we allow ourselves to feel it.
Grief is not one-size-fits-all. It doesn't follow a timeline, and it doesn't look the same for everyone. Some days it feels heavy, and other days you can smile without feeling guilty. Some moments are filled with peace, while others are filled with anger, sadness, confusion, gratitude, regret, or longing. Every emotion is valid, and every part of the journey deserves grace.

One of the most important lessons I've learned is to stop running from my emotions. Instead of pushing them away or pretending they don't exist, I've learned to sit with them. I've cried when I needed to cry. I've allowed myself to be angry, grateful, hopeful, guilty, and even happy without feeling like I was betraying my grief. I've learned that healing isn't about avoiding the pain, it's about walking through it, one day at a time.
It's okay to not be okay. You don't have to have all the answers. You don't have to be strong every single day. You don't have to rush your healing to make other people comfortable. Give yourself permission to feel whatever today brings. There is no "right" way to grieve.
God has never left my side. He has carried me through battles I never thought I would survive, and He continues to give me strength on the days I feel like I have none. Even when my heart is heavy, I trust that He is walking beside me, holding me together when I feel like I'm falling apart.
There will probably always be a part of me that wonders, "Why?"
Why did I have to say goodbye sooner than I ever imagined? Those questions don't simply disappear because time passes. They still come, especially on birthdays, holidays, milestones, and in the quiet moments when I wish I could hear their voices one more time.
