🪩🎸🌸✨Recess ✨🌸🎸🪩

Recess is an orchestral synth-pop/alternative band from Cleveland, Ohio, known for their epic sound, cinematic energy, and unforgettable live performances. Since forming in 2008, the band has toured across the country, released three EPs and multiple singles, and earned recognition as one of Cleveland’s top alternative acts. In 2025, they won a Golden Ticket on American Idol Season 24, adding another milestone to their growing career. As a critical part of the Book of Techno team, Recess continues to bring their passion, creativity, and high-energy presence to the scene. Known for engaging audiences and creating an atmosphere that feels larger than life, they’re excited to bring that energy to Afterlife and make it a night to remember! taken in Indigo Mountain Farm by @vfondale

The show must go on! 🥁 My iPad unexpectedly shut down in the middle of the set while I was drumming for @recessofficial. This was my first show playing several of these songs, and I absolutely had to have my cues. Nothing like a little extra chaos on stage!
Featuring the brilliant @vfondale’s vocals 🔥
