Dear softball,
I want to express my deepest gratitude to my parents for giving me every opportunity to play this game through my very last at-bat. I also want to thank the Town of Fuquay-Varina for giving me the chance to begin my softball journey. To all of my coaches throughout the years, thank you for the role each of you played in shaping me into the person I am today. I also want to express my sincere appreciation to Holly Ridge softball—you truly do not understand how much I loved being on the mound during my final year there. Thank you to Willow Spring softball for your unwavering support and for always being there for me. Lastly, I want to thank my friends and fellow softball players who stood by me during some of my most challenging times.

Softball has always meant more to me than just a sport—it became my therapy, my safe place, and something that helped me push through the challenges that came with cerebral palsy. It taught me strength, patience, and determination, and it gave me a place where I could prove to myself that no obstacle could define me. Even though I am stepping away from playing, I am not done with the sport, because softball will always be part of who I am and part of my story.

My Great Grandmother on my Dad’s side was my biggest supporters of me and she passed about 3 yrs ago and I couldn’t have done my softball career with out her and I know she looking down at me so happy because nobody was going to guess someone with a disability would go this far.
