I said goodbye to my Daisy last night, and I’m still in complete disbelief that she’s gone.

As corny as it sounds, she was the definition of a soul dog. She was with me through college, through heartbreak, through growing up, and through some of the happiest moments of my life.

Daisy had a way of understanding me that I can’t explain. She was my comfort, my shadow, my best friend, and the truest example of unconditional love I’ve ever known.

I’m completely shattered, and I don’t know how to come home and not see her waiting for me.

Thank you for every hard day you helped me survive and every happy day you made even better. Thank you for always being by my side.

And thank you for keeping me humble every time I opened a jar of pickles. I have never met a dog who loved pickles more. The second she heard the pickle jar open, she’d come running from wherever she was. That girl would have fought a bitch for a pickle.

I love you more than anything, Daisy. A piece of my heart left with you last night, and I will miss you for the rest of my life. by @vgnobles
