Clip taken from the finals of the Llangollen Eistedfodd Pendine International Voice of the Future of my interpretation of Rebecca Clarke’s iconic song: The Seal Man. The Seal Man tells the story of a young girl who is hypnotised and abducted by a humanoid creature known as The Seal Man. This creature is based on the commonly known selkie or mermaid in European folklore and will forever be one of my favourite songs to sing. Clarke knew exactly how to colour the horror and tragedy of the story through her vocal and piano writing. Its just PERFECT. And for me, English Song isn't just about countryside greenery and romance. We are a nation built on folklore and the creatures that inhabit these tales 💀

Then it said that the audio expired? So let’s try uploading it again and see what happens!

If @instagram want me to prove its me singing, I am more than happy to turn up at their offices and sing this for them 🤣😇

After a very busy week of rehearsals where we had limited time together I’ve had the best weekend exploring Ireland outside of Wexford with @someeggguy ♥️

Plus a very lovely and spontaneous trip to an ancient tomb and the woods with the lovely ladies @_lady_disdain and @charlottelotus18

Places visited:
* Hook Lighthouse (the oldest lighthouse in the world)
* Tintern Abbey
* Brownshill Dolman (5000 year old portal tomb)
* Several church ruins across Wexford that we spotted along the road

Another year at the National Opera House 🇮🇪 my home for the next 7 weeks

Excited to get stuck into the role of Hero in Much Ado About Nothing (Pocket Opera) and two of the MainStage opera choruses: Iris and The Gambler

I haven’t sung this since December 😱 when I sang it for an audition

So I decided to test myself and see if I could still do the infamous coloratura. I think she’s still there (a few notes in the runs were sharp but we can work on that…!)
