guess who’s 31 💫

i remember sitting by myself a little over a year ago, on my last day of being 29, crying and wondering if my 30s would be better than my 20s were. how lucky i am to be able to say that, now, at 31, that i’ve created some of my favorite memories within the last year of my life; that i’ve found a way to love my life again, that i no longer feel lost in my grief or pain the way i did throughout my 20s. i always heard that turning 30 comes with a sense of peace and clarity and never believed it, but now i understand.

if you’ve been a part of my life for the past year, thanks for making it joyous. i’m so happy to say i genuinely loved being 30. and now, i can’t wait to love being 31. 💌 by @vi0lentfemmes

turning 27 today without my grandpa is hard. there isn’t really any other way to describe how it feels other than it’s just hard. so i wanted to spend a little bit of time sharing what a wonderful person he was to have around - he had such a huge family and was loved by so many.

my grandpa was softened by life. he endured more than i will ever know and still by the time i came around he was one of the most gentle and warm hearted people i have ever met. he had a charming southern accent and soft hands despite working his entire life. he had a quick wit with his entire family but was always sweet as sugar to all of his grandbabies. this is an immense loss i have never felt before now. i’m not really sure how to feel or what to do with myself. but it brings me comfort to know that he went to paradise knowing he was cherished and valued by many and i don’t believe there’s a day he ever forgot that even in his dementia.

i love you grandpa eddie. i will see you again someday. thank you for all the years of joy you provided our family. 🤍🕊 by @vi0lentfemmes
