This is Adam. Yesterday was his birthday and today is our 6 month anniversary. 4 months from today I’m going to marry him. I met him via dating app last year and, to borrow a familiar phrase, we hit it off instantly. It started with long epistles written back and forth about our common interests, experiences and backgrounds. Then our first date in person, in a cozy little bakery, our suspected chemistry was confirmed. It was the best first date either of us had ever been on, and it included a kiss at the end.

We enjoyed each others company so much that during our first date we planned our second date for the next day, and on our second date we planned our third date for the day after that, and so on. Sooner than either of us expected, we decided to officially become a couple in December.

Since then we have traveled to San Diego and Portland together, been to zoos, museums, theaters, steakhouses, and places not particularly special at all- and they have each been made better with his company.

He’s incredibly smart and clever, passionate about the things he cares about, and he makes me laugh unendingly. I love so many things about him, but the thing I love most is his kindness. His patient, understanding, kindness. It’s because of this kindness that I know I want him to be my husband.

Happy Birthday my love, I look forward to spending many many more with you. Happy 6 months, I look forward to recreating that first date in that bakery someday soon. Most of all, I’m so excited to see you at the end of the aisle in 122 days. ❤️ by @via.wells
