Meet DJ & host BlckSpkz!

BlckSpkz is a DJ/Audio Engineer based in the Bay Area and spins a variety of hip hop, house, r&b, pop and generally any music that gets you going. While attending college he found his love for DJ'n while playing at house parties, and private events. In 2011 he launched his DJ career in San Francisco and earned his B.A. in audio production in 2012.

At an early age, BlckSpkz had a deep love and passion for music. Gospel, Soul, House, and 1990’s Hip Hop were big inspirations while he was growing up. His earliest memories were of his grandmother's boisterous voice coming from the kitchen on a Sunday morning. Additionally, recording live DJ sets from the radio to cassette with his mom.

In 2017 he launched his open formate playlist series on SoundCloud called Vibemixs. During this time, BlckSpkz has amassed over 256K plays from over 50 countries.

In 2022 BlckSpkz launched Vibe CNTRL Radio (VCR) which is an open-format radio show through @bffdotfm exploring good music and good vibes. VCR airs Monday's 3 - 4 PM on BFF.fm (Best Frequencies Forever), an independent community radio station based in San Francisco, California.

For BlckSpkz, DJ’n is about providing an enjoyable experience that everyone will remember. From providing a unique list of artists to blending music smoothly, he continues his journey moving crowds from across the globe.
