Over the last year I had the honor of designing the cover and vinyl for the legendary Roy Ayer's Secrets of the Sun project that just dropped last week. I tried my best to capture some of Roy's journey from receiving his first mallets to the message he left for his listeners to carry forward. The cover was made in the perspective of the audience because it's our responsibility to spread love and unity to one another above all else.

Absolutely grateful to @thebigincognegro and @roc.am for the opportunity to make a visual that would complement the incredible sound and concept they both crafted. I'm fortunate to have been a small part of this icon's legacy and hope that you take a moment to hear the project. Roc and everyone involved expanded these deep cuts and unreleased tracks making a very special testament to the late Roy Ayers

The project is on all streaming platforms and make sure to cop that vinyl!!! 🎶🦋 taken in Los Angeles, California by @vibemike.am

Felt compelled to paint this for a legend who was taken away too soon. As a creative Bishop knew no bounds and never fit into a box. He excelled as a craftsman, musician and artist and inspired all who were fortunate enough to meet him. Thank you for the wisdom and guidance years ago🙏 🎸 taken in Brooklyn, New York by @vibemike.am
