It’s been one hell of a ride. Thanks to God, I wouldn’t be able to accomplish this without him. My heart is filled with gratitude for every opportunity I have ever been given to live in this moment right now. God places his toughest soldiers in the most difficult battles in order for them to succeed. I came, saw, laughed, cried, but I’m a soldier and he made me push through. Thank you to my friends, family, and to everyone that took their time to get know me. It’s been real Salisbury, aka The Dirty Bury🖤

This has been a very challenging year for everyone. Everything that has transpired in the last eight months is deeply undeniably, heartache, misguided. I can sit here and write a book about this year, but instead, I decided to put all of my mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health into my passion. I came up with the idea of this particular photoshoot five months ago after the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery. Racism has been a continuous conflict in society for so many generations, and it's enough is enough. Since the beginning of 2020, we have lost so many lives due to COVID 19 and violence towards the many minorities. Police Brutality uses excessive force by an officer, which can legally be defined as a civil rights violation. Over the years, we have lost so many of our civilians, and justice was never served. The brutality against all minorities this year has spiked to an all-time-high. The videos of police killings have filled the news and all social media platforms, and enough is enough. The death of George Floyd was heartbreaking, and I couldn't even watch the video because of its gruesomeness. All the lives that we've lost over the years have lead to words that I am still searching to explain. At this moment, the time that we are in now, we don't need division. Instead, we need to come together to form a unity. I believe that one day we all will see the light at the end of this dark tunnel, but we have a long way still to go to come together. Our journey will not end today, tomorrow, or the day after next. ALL LIVES WON'T MATTER, UNTIL BLACK LIVES MATTER.

This has been an exciting month. April 21 was my very first art show, where other artist and myself got a chance to show our talents. Photography has always been my getaway from my reality and I’m proud of myself for having this opportunity. If your in the Salisbury area, stop pass the Salisbury Gallery Space. This is just the beginning and looking forward to see what else comes my way! Follow my photography page @the3print
