Dance music sets you in motion, but some tracks end up setting you in MOTION; down a rabbit hole and into expanding space-time arcs.

After several years following releases on @accessoryrecords , and sub label Accessories to Murder, an unreleased post-punk Pylon meltdown was rumored to have come from the fingertips of label co-founder @miles_mercer .

The track coalesced fellow punters across genre disciplines, and incited riots of anticipation. After connecting with and tracking down Miles via URL, an IRL tall-man meet up took shape in Detroit—at the source.

Now the NYC via Seattle label head takes to the @particlefm airwaves, unveiling a peek inside the raw, sludgy, sound garden of his mind ahead of an exciting fall tour.

We’re nearly five years (!?) into the Vibrary of Congress project, and episode 092 returns tomorrow, Wednesday July 1 for an overdue artist showcase.  Airing live from 6p-8p on @particlefm comes a feast for the ears, celebrating the solo works of the late Richard H. Kirk. Although perhaps known best for his work with the group Cabaret Voltaire, Kirk released solo records under a dizzying 41(!) different aliases. From groundbreaking bleep techno outputs, to warm electronica, jagged electro, and innovative dub, describing RHK as “prolific” is an understatement.

No better time than now for an injection of love via our next guest selector and dear friend. Love Language is the artist name for Kevin Crooks. Born in Venice, CA but now living in Mexico City he is a resident for the vinyl bar @cafe.denadie . His sound spans the spectrum of psychedelic and sensual world balearic grooves, and he’s hot off a scintillating debut at @barparttime in SF. Before his gig we spent an afternoon behind the decks in Los Angeles and laid down the VERY FIRST b2b recorded for @vibraryofcongress with some truly healing results.  Tomorrow Wednesday Feb. 4 at 6p PT, this mix of Breaks, House and, Progressive hits the @particlefm airwaves, and we think you’ll enjoy the trip as much as we did. The recent deck of tunes has just been too stacked—so we’re out of hibernation with a bang 💥 I was lucky enough to have @father___dukes grace the @particlefm airwaves and her mix certainly did not disappoint 🎯🥹 In my professional opinion, we both crushed. End of story.

Dream b2b: this is hard lol! i'd probably say Jensen Interceptor because I got to see him over the winter and he blew my mind. his taste/style is my full rager vibe to a tee so going b2b would be fuuuun

Mix Inspo: the direction I took for the mix felt fitting for the sweltering, summer heat and was inspired by my current obsession for hard drums, heavy percussives, and sassy rhythms.

I wanted to create something different than what I normally play out, which made it a lot of fun since 90% of the time I don't get opportunities to play what I'm really into at the moment.

It's sweaty, sexy, textural, and features some of my favorite producers at the moment; Amor Satyr, Lurka, Young Muscle, and DJ Gigola to name a few. I hope you enjoy <3 taken in Los Angeles, California by @vibraryofcongress

Tonight! 📡🌏 VOC is back live on the @particlefm interwaves.
From 6p PT/ 9p ET, join the walkabout into the bush with an all-Australian roster of artists who have become forever favorites of mine. Years ago I had my first clubbing and festival experiences in Oz—it’s safe to say that nostalgia is still holding strong.
The sound these producers have carved out is filled with callbacks to 90s ambient, progressive, chillout, and more, and often samples local wildlife found only on the continent. The artist community is also deeply connected to the acknowledgment of their presence on stolen land.
