That was a lot of fun, enjoying a "home" route with so many runners. Result was totally unexpected 😱

28 hours later ☠️ - The day when the mountains humbled me down 🏔️😵

@swissalps100 miles, 2026. DNF at 105Km and 6700m vertical, after 9h of running, 2 hours of resting and 17 hours of just walking 🚶‍♂️🧟‍♂️
Massive learnings from today, not simply on race strategy, but on what running, having fun, endurance, friendship and exhaustion means to me.

This race probably changed me forever, chewing me up and spitting out a different person.

I have no words for thanking @monpi_v for her relentless crewing and motivation, and @apzurich for the excellent pacing and crucial help in my darkest hours (both emotional and chronological), giving up their free time to follow me in this crazy adventure 🙏🤩

Summary of the day: I started too fast, hit the wall after 8h, legs got stuck in walking mode and I had no way to get any energy in my body. But despite that, I went on and on and on in "survival mode", until going on was simply not important anymore to me, as I found what I was looking for.

As incoherent as it seems, when I realized that I could have (potentially) made to the finish line, then reaching the finish line had no more meanings to me. I was happy with what I got, what I learnt and who I have become, and I left the race with a smile on my face.

Thanks to all the old and new friends I met before, after and during the competition. This felt like home 🏠 and I am so happy to be with all of you 🫂 taken in Fiesch, Switzerland by @vic2vic2vic

@backyard.ultra.grindelwald first edition. It was a blast and felt honoured to run 12 loops along so many talented trail runners (@natalina.neuenschwander, @nic_lehmann and @_running_nicole, just to name a few).

Incredible organization by @backdoor_shop and @eigerlodge_grindelwald team 👏👏👏👍🤩
They even managed to bring a bit of @lakezuri100
weather in Grindelwald, including running in rivers and some fresh snow just few hundred meters above us, to make it even tougher tha planned 👍

As Laz says: It was easy, until it was not 😚

🤗 Meet our Ambassador Fabio👋

Fabio lässt keine Trail-Challenge aus – er lebt den Spirit langer, zäher Rennen und bringt dabei immer eine grosse Portion Spass mit. Beim Backyard ist er als Teilnehmer am Start und gibt auf dem Rundkurs alles. 🏃‍♂️💥

SwissAlps100M 2025 DNF ☹️
Felt good and strong up to 60km, then the body went into "emergency" mode and I got scared to move into the second part of the race, stopping at 82km and +5100m climbing.

There is no failure, just learnings. And now I'm fu**ing ready for smashing it in 2026 🔥🔥
