May 25th, 2025, 5:45pm. a date and time i will remember forever. hearing what had happened, and hearing u were no longer here, devastated me, it felt unreal; like i was dreaming. but unfortunately it wasnt a nightmare, it was true, real life. no more talks abt track, planning shopping sprees that would probably never happen, no more family holidays, no more beach trips, no more you, no more amanda.
the girl who was an older sister to me, the first person i told when i joined track, who i would tell abt the high school football games and pit themes. u were always there, always listening, always caring in a way that made everything feel lighter. u made the little things feel big, and the big things feel possible.
those memories, those moments, i will forever cherish, and remember for a life time. i keep replaying everything in my head, every laugh, every conversation, every moment i didnt know would mean this much one day. its only been 2 days sense u have passed, and i miss u more then anything, i will forever miss u.
i wish i could talk to u one more time, hear ur voice, tell u everything i didnt get to say. i wish i could hug u, laugh with u, just be around u again. i didnt know the last time would be the last time, and that hurts more then anything.
every track meet, football games, beach trips, everything we shared, i will always remember u by. ill look for u in sunsets, in the sky, in the little signs that remind me ur still with me somehow. i know u wouldnt want me to be sad forever, but its hard not to be when someone so special is gone.
goodbyes are never forever, and i truly believe that. somehow, someway, ill see u again. until then, ill carry u with me in everything i do. in every throw, every laugh, every memory i make, a piece of u will always be there.
i would have never thought i would experience life without u. u were too important, too loved, too unforgettable. the world feels a little dimmer without u in it, but i know u are lighting up somewhere else.
