Quite often I revisit DMX’s catalog from music to movies. I always admired his vulnerability. His style was one of a kind.

Growing up with Sabi, we always watched punk rock documentaries and biopics while creating. The process developed my love for grunge. More importantly gave me a new set of ears to appreciate music other than Rap & R&B. Now I rock band tees that I actually listen to.

My dad and I kick it. And we talk about style. One of many things that i remember is that he’d always wear distressed tour tees by Jamaican artist and pins on on his jackets. (Wish I had a pic but I seen it in real time)

Mötley Crüe. These boys were real rock stars. Real Punk, f*ck you attitude. Sex, drugs, and fame. They were living in their Vice Paradise.

No Limit, Uncle P forever a legend. Y’all get the point.

Lifestyle editorial entitled “Projects to Paradise”. The juxtapositions of the two are to signify and appreciate growth. One outfit was shot at the Perry Projects, while another outfit was shot at the Pearl lofts. Us as people have a niche for creating something out of nothing in order to prevail. With limited access to fabrics at the time, I made the decision to upcycle a few polos out of my personal @ralphlauren collection. Some I had paid over $100 for, but why not give these great quality polos a new life. I remember I bought my first Rugby sophomore year of high school and not wanting to take it off and after I made these I had that same feeling ironically. Styled with the classic Beef & Broccoli Timberlands and other Vice Paradise silhouettes to contribute our ethos. by @viceparadise.us
