About 14 years ago, I snuck into an Art Basel event where I met @pharrell and his wife.

I was 16, incredibly shy, and completely overwhelmed by the room full of artists, creatives, and celebrities. What I thought would be a quick photo turned into a 45-minute conversation about creativity, vision, long-term goals, and believing in possibilities long before they become reality.

I still remember leaving that conversation feeling like someone had given me permission to dream bigger than I knew was possible. He planted a seed in me before I could even recognize my own potential.

Years later, I bought my first designer bag — a Louis Vuitton Neverfull. Everyone told me not to, but I still have it today.

Then, nearly a decade after that conversation, life came full circle. I had the opportunity to design creative concepts and help reimagine elements of the guest experience for one of Pharrell’s hospitality projects in Miami.

Funny how life works.

I’ve always admired Pharrell not only for shaping music, fashion, art, and culture, but for the way he encourages people to believe in themselves. That brief moment of generosity stayed with me for years.

Here’s to the people who unknowingly change the trajectory of someone else’s life.

And here’s to you, Pharrell. Thank you for planting that seed. #creative #inspiration #PharrellWilliams by @viciloustudio
