Hey there, Blade Warriors, AYAOTD? Fans & replica collectors alike, I'm proud to say it's finally complete & ready to display...Only took a solid month of paint work between what has been a very busy last few months.

I was fortunate enough to be able to pick up this absolutely stunningly screen accurate replica from one of the most memorable episodes of Are You Afraid Of The Dark?'s first season. Episode 11, "The Tale Of The Super Specs". Never did I think I'd ever get to hold exact replicas of those infamous cursed super specs MaryBeth got from Sardo's Magic Mansion joke shop. The artist in question was none other than @90snicktube & his amazingly resourceful work on getting these limited items out to us fans. Included along with the pouch of that damn dust that caused everything to happen, was a certificate of authenticity (#19), the super specs themselves, & it all came in a small wooden box. I saw this as an opportunity to give these specs an artistic tribute of sorts in which to call home. Taking inspiration from Sardo's sign hanging in the window of his shop, I decided to replicate it to the box, match the paint colorways & freehand the letters from reference. In the end, it all worked out better than I could've ever hoped. We have genius @djmachale, director @ronoliver, & the amazing Sardo himself @richardmdumont to thank for bringing this episode, story, character & ultimately, fun replica project to life! Are You Afraid Of The Dark? was my first 90s YA horror anthology series as a kid, & being able to own even a small part of that magic in physical form is nothing short of amazing! Thank you to everyone who was involved in making this idea a reality! Go out there & make your art, take chances, get creative, think outside the box...or in this case, on it. Hey there, Blade Warriors, Ghostbuster Enthusiasts & Figure Repainters Alike! Finally managed to finish this long overdue repaint overhaul, for none other than the criminally underrated 1997 gem "Extreme Ghostbusters". The character in question is none other than fan favorite goth Kylie Griffin, paranormal researcher, & the sarcasm slinging on field Ghostbuster with a thick Queens accent & attitude to match! It goes without saying, then 9 year old me was beyond taken. Voiced by Toronto's own, the always stellar & wickedly awesome @tarastrong, a role I wished had gotten more than a single season back in the day.

My repaint was a combination of bringing her back to her more screen accurate attire, while also giving her more of a ⚫️🟣🟠 wardrobe, as opposed to the grey of the gloves in the series. Always try to make the finished product look like it stepped out of an animation cell & is now perched on your shelf. After finally getting a copy of the complete series on dvd, this figure repaint project was a must to complete. The first figure repaint of the year, but definitely not the last. Stay tuned & go rewatch that Extreme Ghostbusters intro with Jim Cummings 90s version of the 80s theme song. It's beyond rad! 😎🤙

Hey there, Blade Warriors, Cereal Killers & Hologram enthusiasts alike! It's already that time again, we have yet another grail piece. This ridiculously rare vintage 1996 "Hologram Box Cover" from a purely Canadian edition of this beloved cereal! I saw it 6 years ago floating around on ebay, wasn't able to scoop it up back then. Fast forward to earlier this month, I managed to track the same one down again. This time, righting the wrong from 6 years ago. It joins the other Canadian release of the same year on the shelf. There somehow wasn't a single photo of this cover on google anywhere, besides the eBay listing. But now, I hope to showcase & display this unique cover for all the cereal box collectors & aficionados out there! We 90s kids loved holographic cards, necklace pendants & vhs covers back then. They showcased a special "outside the box thinking" on the part of @generalmills , & I wish we'd see this level of imagination from them again!

"Hey there, Blade Warriors, MMPR Fans, & Movie Prop Aficionados Alike! I know I've been quiet so far this year, the projects have taken a backseat to life these last couple of months, but am here to showcase what I've spent decades hoping I'd eventually track down. This spectacularly well made "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Movie" : Ivan's Ooze Replica jar, made by a talented artist on Etsy. I've seen numerous other fan made replica props of this item, but for whatever the reason, they just never quite managed to get the sticker decal accurate, nor was the "slime" the proper hue or viscosity like it was in the film. This one however, is nearly identical. To say I was a big Power Rangers fan back in 1993 would've been the biggest of understatements. But as soon as this 1995 gem came out, my adoration doubled & even at age 6, I remember distinctly asking, "If they sold the Ooze at Toys R Us?" While they did not, it turned out I just had to wait a little over 30 years to finally acquire one of this accuracy! I'm a model of patience. 😁 If you would like one for yourself, I can point you in the right direction. "POWER TO THE PURPLE". "YOU OOZE, YOU LOSE!" Wear It Loud, Blade It Up! 🟪😎🤙

Happy New Years 2026! Hey there, Blade Warriors, Cyberpunks, & dystopian optomists alike! We made it, we're through the first half of the 20s! Can only imagine what the future holds. I go into the new year feeling focused, better enhanced, with my targeting grid locked onto my goals, knowing I will attain them at any cost! What had felt like disruption & uncertainty in the past, now feels more calm, more certain, looking forward to what I'm going to create in my life. I know the last couple years had been difficult, life changing & constantly shifting ground for me, but when you look through this lens, the future is nothing but bright! 😎 This beautiful cyberwear visor from @illumicyberwear is the perfect accessory for all your stylish, goal focusing needs. Hey there, Blade Warriors, Webheads, & action figure aficionados alike! Finished my first ever "Marvel Legends Retro VHS Spider-man figure" repaint, done with toothpicks, of all things...Don't recommend, unless you have lots of patience & a steady hand. I grew up adoring the 1994 Spider-man series, & finally having an animation cell accurate Michael Morbius is beyond rad! Huge fan of the antihero in general, loved his 90s design & solo comic line. Hasbro didn't bring their A-game when it came to the paint application, had to show em how it should've been done! May have to try reapinting more in the future, just "winging it!" 🦇🖌

Halloween 2025: Back from the grave, & ready to party! 🧟‍♂️ Somehow, in the 34 years I've been in costume for Halloween night, I never once tried making a zombie costume. That was before the days of thrifting, mask painting & designing, I suppose.. The highlight of the night was the tiniest of 3 year olds, that was determined to give me a hug, then the kids swarmed, interacting, asking questions, & it was hi fives, fist bumps & compliments all around. Our neighborhood has the nicest kids!

On a personal note, the theme this year was a "Resurrection" of sorts for me. Renewal, realignment, reawakening, putting to rest the old ways, walking away from what no longer suited me & coming back into my power, fully reanimated, filled with reinvigorated energy, rekindled passion for art, & on a mission of self healing work. Stay true to yourself always, nurture what inspires you, fuel your hobbies, embrace your cliches, & don't take yourself too seriously! Listen to your intuition & follow your heart, it serves you well. I love being able to give back to the community during these spooky evenings. Seeing the wonder, excitement & smiles on the kid's faces, truly warmed my little monster heart. I've become the adult who inspires & puts on a show for them every year, & it means the world to me to hear them say ;"I'm going to draw you in art class tomorrow!", or "My brother & I are Zombies too, now you aren't alone!". It was nothing but pure positive, kindhearted energy last night, & it makes the little things in life seem so trivial. Hope you all had a very Happy Halloween, I know i definitely did!🎃

Hey there, Blade Warriors, Cereal Killers, & Halloween Enthusiasts alike! Wanted to share my latest piece, finally finished. Its my tribute to the Count himself, in repainted mask form. With his collection slowly taking over my shelf, it seemed only fitting that he was able to watch over them all. I've had this idea for a while now, using the vintage Spirit Halloween mask as a blank canvas & incorporating his various colors from the boxes, into a cohesive design, even giving him chocolate milk running down his fangs instead of blood. Gotta think "outside the cereal box"! I had a blast creating this & always try to pick up more vintage masks from Spirit for this exact reason. So many paint variant ideas, so little time. So are you "Down For The Count"? Do you have any special plans this Halloween? Do you put your heart & soul into your art? I would love to hear from all of you! 🧛‍♂️🥣🦇

Hey there, Blade Warriors, Halloween Enthusiasts & Purple Bat Lovers Alike! It's been a busy yet productive October this year. Managed to take time to paint, listen to good music, watch some awesome films, complete projects & just enjoy the evening's crisp air as it rolls down the neighborhood. I said I was going to do an update for the Count Chocula shelf, as it's been quite a while since I've added anything to it. After many years seeking these specific pieces out, in such good condition & for the right price, I've finally managed to scoop them up. The seller was super nice & the transaction couldn't have gone smoother. These are two vintage lenticular eye boxes from 1992 & 1988, respectively. I remember the commercials, with the Count proclaiming his adoration for bats. Finding these boxes in both good condition & with the lenticular covers still attached after 35+ years is getting more & more difficult. But I couldn't be happier to finally get to add them to the collection in their forever home! I'm planning a part 2 to this Count Chocula shelf update, hopefully coming soon. Something I've been altering & I'm hoping it will tie in the theme nicely. I also found the missing "Frightrags/Kelloggs" acid yellow spoon that came with my mask & shirt box. So stay tuned for part 2 & I hope everyone is having a spooky October season so far! 🦇🥣

Hey there, Blade Warriors, Fright Fans, & Autumn lovers! Happy October 1st, 2025, & hello to the 2025 Halloween Countdown! I haven't been able to dive into as many summer art projects as I would've liked to this year, but I made it a point to pull out all the stops when it comes to October, Halloween, & all manor of spooky goodness. I have many a project in mind for this month, ranging from mask & sculpture repaints, physical display setups & a final costume reveal. So much to look forward to, so much to showcase.

This first art project is one that suddenly popped into my head, as soon as I picked up this wicked Cryptkeeper bust from Spirit Halloween. I knew I wanted to touch up the paint, but it wasn't until I had the idea of merging the art style of the criminally underrated 1993 animated series "Tales From The Cryptkeeper". To say I was obsessed with this cartoon as a kid, would be the biggest understatement. I adored it all, the morbid puns, the monster designs, the cell animation work & the Immortal, incomparable voice of the Cryptkeeper himself, @johnkassir. Had an absolute blast bringing this idea to life, in all his glow in the dark skinned glory! Hoping I can inspire others to "think outside the ⚰️" this Halloween season! Break out the paints, pencil crayons, & get creative! Stay tuned for more spooky art, displays, repainting & inspiration this Halloween season. 🎃
