REUNION NIGHT - OCTOBER 2026 by @vickalone

Spent the night deep in the woods as cinematographer on Bats in the Woods, directed by @vickalone

One overnight shoot. Countless bug bites. A few hours of sleep. Totally worth it.

Filmmaking isn’t always glamorous, but nights like these are why I love doing it.

Follow along as I share more behind-the-scenes from this production and the journey of making films.

The world is a vampire sent to drain

🦇🦇🦇

You must create or wait for the world to pass you by. If you want to do something, or you want to act in something, don’t sit wondering when it’s going to happen, because there are so many variables that you don’t know about. Focus on what you can control, and create those opportunities for yourself. You will be surprised how many people are willing to help if you just ask!

I had so much fun working on this project. Stay tuned for “Bats in the Woods”, coming soon!!!

and… cut 💍

…

Watching these three films was like watching my children stand up on their own feet. I feel genuinely maternal to every single one of my characters. They say it takes a village to raise a child, and that is the heart of what film is. None of it would be possible without all the amazing cast and crew of “HONEY”, “Form”, and “Cherry Wine.” You are all incredible, and I am so lucky to have shared these works with you. I can’t wait to see where each of you goes next. ❤️❤️

What happens “I love you” isn’t enough?

What happens when we start listening to machines more than each other?

When words are so difficult to make sense of, it seems like interpreting images of the brain is a ridiculous concept, but what happens when those interpretations become markers of guilt, and there’s no justice?

When those words fail, what “Evidence” will you use?

Is it really goodbye if we part with each other, but never with our memories of one another?

I love you all so very much and it has been such a delight to watch you all grow.

Thank you for everything.
