Her Health Her Power Conference Africa 2026 brought together distinguished political leaders, healthcare professionals, advocates, innovators, and changemakers committed to advancing women’s health and empowerment across Africa.

The conference welcomed H.E. Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, former Governor of Rivers State and former Minister of Transportation Nigeria.

Hon. Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, Honourable Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, of Nigeria represented by Dr. Adebayo Benjamin Laniyi; DG Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women Development

H.E. Amb. Prof. Olufolake AbdulRazaq, First Lady of Kwara State and Chairperson of the Nigeria Governors’ Spouses Forum, represented by Omowunmi Ayoka Gbamis; and the DG of NACA, represented by Dr. I. Miriam Ezekwe.

The conference also featured an incredible lineup of speakers and thought leaders, including Jennifer Odufuwa, Dr. Ololade Diya, Uju Akukwe, Ummi Musa Umar, Ruth Chinenye Chukwueke, Samuel Gada, Segun Ebozoje, Dr. Saad Abdulmumin, Dr. Amaka Orakwue, Fatima Mohammed Habib, Eunice Benu, Raheema Auwal-Panti, Dr. Chuka Imo, and Hauwa Abbas, who brought diverse expertise, perspectives, and powerful insights to the conversations.

This is why regular health checks, appropriate screenings, and paying attention to changes in our bodies are so important.
We encourage every woman to make her health a priority not only when something feels wrong, but as a commitment to prevention and early detection.

We are dedicated to advancing cancer awareness, encouraging access to screening, educating women on preventive healthcare, and building partnerships that can bring essential health services closer to women and underserved communities across Africa.

Barr. Dr. Amaka Orakwue, a commercial lawyer, healthcare advocate, and Founder of Tener Cansado Foundation, is championing greater awareness and support for individuals living with autoimmune diseases, like Myasthenia Gravis.

At Her Health Her Power Conference Africa 2026, we had the honour of listening to her courageously share her personal journey with this life-threatening autoimmune disease.

Her story was a powerful reminder that greater awareness, early recognition, and access to the right care can save lives.

I honestly came with an open mind and left with so much to think about. From conversations around reproductive health, maternal and child care, mental health, leadership and innovation, I got to hear different perspectives and meet people doing really amazing things.

The theme, “Leading with Wellness for a Sustainable Africa,” really came alive for me because you can’t really talk about a better Africa without talking about the health and wellbeing of the people building it.

I’m really grateful to @jenniferodufuwa @drchuka_ @dayobenlaniyi @amaka_orakwue @askthecelebdr @cocoamire @raheemapanti @nenyechukwueke @samuel.gada @info.fateema_habeeb @officialhauwaabbas @chinweblesing @radiotherapist_ng @officialchibuikeamaechi for the conversations and insights shared.
