I Dreamt the Streets Were Made of Water. Vicky Polak’s (@vickyp0lak) photographic practice moves between body, landscape, and inherited memory, using analogue double-exposures to dissolve the boundaries between skin and terrain. Bringing together three interconnected bodies of work, Polak traces a migration from volcanic earth to the fluid rhythms of Venice, where water becomes a space for memory, longing, and ritual. The physical exhibition, curated by Julia Terzano (@juliaterzano), runs from 3 July-29 August 2026, presented by 10 & zero uno (@10zerouno). The digital exhibition is available to experience on web and in VR via #VorticArt.

Thank you so much to everyone who came by our Cubitt Invites… The Open Studios last weekend were FUN!! Thank you for the time spent together in the space, for looking at the work, and for sharing conversations with me. It was such a pleasure to open the studio and welcome you in. It was especially lovely to share my space with Majo Caporaletti, creating a very ARGENTINEAN vibe! alongside so many brilliant artists across the studio coop community. I feel very honoured to have had the opportunity to show my work among such talented artists, and to be part of such a generous and inspiring weekend. Thank you to everyone who made the time to visit, support the studios, and share the experience with us ! it really means a lot. Although the open studios have now finished, the studio will still be available for bookings by appointment over the coming months for anyone who would like to visit and see the work. Hope to see you again soon! @cubittstudioartists @cubitt_gallery @majo.caporaletti by @vickyp0lak

@vickyp0lak, El Silencio del Volcán, 2025, Dark Water Series, Installation print on fabric – 100% natural organza, 100 × 100 cm I DREAMT THE STREETS WERE MADE OF WATER, a cura di @juliaterzano, testo critico di @juliaterzano e @chiaracicoria 📍 10 & zero uno, Via Garibaldi 1830, Venezia 🗓️ 3 Luglio - 29 Agosto, 2026 📷 @filippomolena by @vickyp0lak
Dal 9 agosto siamo aperti su appuntamento. by @vickyp0lak
@vickyp0lak, A mermaid's chant, 2026, Black and white medium format photograph, mounted, 50 x 50 cm I DREAMT THE STREETS WERE MADE OF WATER, a cura di @juliaterzano, testo critico di @juliaterzano e @chiaracicoria 📍 10 & zero uno, Via Garibaldi 1830, Venezia 🗓️ 3 Luglio - 29 Agosto, 2026 by @vickyp0lak
