as a photographer who also works as a subject for many other photographers, i’m always interested in the process of the person photographing me because for one, i learn so much that helps with my own career, but also because i wonder what makes someone want to captures things. is there a large difference between someone who wants to capture versus those who want to be captured? are we strictly divided as photographer or model? artist or muse? or is it possible to be equally both?

as someone who has a deep passion for both, i wonder why someone would choose one or the other. i wonder what these photographers are trying to say with their photos, or if they’re trying to say anything at all. the lengths to which a photographer might go to get the perfect shot is a very inspiring sight, and not something that is widely captured. and as i was on this photo walk at the #bildexpo i felt myself being drawn to watch these people at work. maybe it’s because these people were making the same type of art i wanted to, or because no one else was taking pictures of other photographers. whatever it was, i’m happy with what i got :). taken in New York, New York by @vickypvisuals
