And with that I’m buying into the @jaguars… going to the Super Bowl this year. It was a thrill to host the ULI Awards for Excellence with industry giants like Jaguars owner Shad Khan. Jacksonville has always been viewed as the underdog but don’t doubt Duval. With our great natural resources, incredible citizens, and responsible growth, that 904 is becoming the place to be. Lowering crime and improving communication is part of that equation. Keep supporting the special place, big things are coming! 📷: Khalifa Dieye / ULI taken in Hilton Jacksonville at Mayo Clinic Near Beaches by @vicmicolucci

🧑‍🍳🇫🇷30 YEARS OF DWIGHTS BISTRO! 🥩🍝

@dwightsbistro is truly one of Florida’s TOP restaurants. This spring, they celebrated their 30th anniversary—an incredible accomplishment! Chef Dwight and his family have created an unforgettable dining experience, with some of the best meat and fish selections and preparation I’ve had anywhere in the world.

Chef Dwight and his sons frequently alternate in the kitchen, and you can feel the passion behind every plate. Thank you for making NE Florida that much more special and unique. And if you’re looking for a reason to move here… Dwight’s Bistro might just be reason enough! Here’s to another 30 years! 🥂

How cool would it be to have @michelinguide come give them our first real star ⭐️? Tag them below!

Last year, we were able to give back to so many. This year, our goal is to multiply that impact and go even further.

Our mission has never been about a single event or a single moment. It’s about reaching communities that are too often forgotten, standing alongside families, and giving children the opportunity to dream beyond their circumstances.

This year, Reaching the Unreached is preparing to bring Christmas, essential resources, and hope to more than 300 children in an isolated region, while continuing the work we’ve built throughout the year.

We’ve seen what’s possible when people come together for a purpose.

Now, we’re daring ourselves to dream even bigger.

"Even if we're not necessarily artists...we can all play a part in it."
Great cities are known for more than their skylines—they're known for the places, experiences, and public spaces that bring people together.
Vic Micolucci shares why arts and culture help make Jacksonville a destination we're proud to call home. Whether it's public art, cultural experiences, or community gathering spaces, investing in arts and culture strengthens the city we all share.

🇺🇸🎂NOTHING LIKE THE 4TH IN JAX📍🍺

There’s something special about the Fourth of July at the beaches in Jacksonville. Bikes take over the streets, neighbors spill onto the sidewalks, and the whole coastline feels like one big community celebration. When the main road turns pedestrian-only, it becomes the perfect place to walk, ride, and soak in the energy from Atlantic Beach to Neptune Beach and Jacksonville Beach. As the sun goes down, fireworks light up the sky all along the beach, creating one of the best summer nights in Northeast Florida. The beach culture, the bikes, the people, and the fireworks — this is why the Fourth feels different here.

Dream Day 2026 was incredible. This is my buddy Blake. We met in 2017 and have stayed in touch since. He’s the best. He and 35 other Dreamers with life-threatening illnesses had the time of their lives at this parade and extravaganza. It’s a blessing to watch them grow up over the years and thrive. Immensely appreciative of @priproductions & @dreamscometruejax for bringing this party back for the first time since 2019. Grateful to Mc, DJ, and coordinate @jaxsheriff involvement. @randynjax @jax_negron @mallorywanekborn taken in Jacksonville, Florida by @vicmicolucci

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms out there. Mine is caring, compassionate, creative, patient, intelligent, entertaining, and full of faith. We are so lucky to have her in our lives, and I’m grateful for every moment.

We also recently celebrated a big birthday for my father — the medical music man — who has always been an incredible role model and someone who gives everything he has to help others. He’s saved so many lives and does it all with a smile.

Through all of life’s highs and lows, they are always there supporting our family and this community.

Family is everything, and these two make it easy to believe that. Shout out to all the positive role models out there leading by example and living life the right way.

And a special shoutout to my sister and sister-in-law for being amazing moms to my nieces and nephews. by @vicmicolucci

A Tribute to Rob

Where do we start? Rob Sweeting was a mentor and a friend. Sure, I grew up watching him on the news every night. He always seemed so cool.

Then, in college, I was able to land an internship at WJXT. It was a whole new world—one I only knew from the outside. But a few people really took me under their wing, and Rob Sweeting was at the top of that list. Sure, he was a main anchor at the flagship station, but he took an interest in little old me. He believed in me, he built me up, and he taught me so much. Soon, I was producing many of his nightly stories. It felt like a lot of pressure at the time, but he was always cool and collected.

A few years later, I had the privilege of working with him full-time. I was the rookie reporter on his shows, trying not to fumble. He was always encouraging. Always building his team up. Before long, we were hitting the road together, traveling on the campaign trail. He was next to me the first time I anchored sports on the station (it was an abominable performance.) He was there for the milestones.

Rob was just a good guy. My family had the chance to meet him (here he is singing to my mom), and being around him felt like being with family. He later retired and moved out of town, but he still called and texted to tell me how proud he was. He’d stop by the newsroom, cause a little ruckus, and make himself right at home like he never left.

Rob was a solid journalist, but more importantly, he was a fair one. He didn’t take sides—he cared about doing what was right for people.

Last week, we learned his health had taken a turn for the worse, and he had been admitted to the hospital. Several of us had the privilege of stopping by to see him. He couldn’t talk, but he appeared to listen. As ill as he was, he opened his eyes and seemed to respond to the stories.

The medical team, many of whom also grew up watching him, took great care of him. This afternoon, he passed away.

Rob’s greatest investment was people. I know my story isn’t unique. He just cared for people. And for that, I’ll forever be grateful, hoping to carry on his encouragement. Be like Rob, friends! by @vicmicolucci
