This past weekend was pure magic. We cried, laughed, held one another, practiced together, and of course… had snacks in between. 💛

But in truth, what was truly felt was love. Deep love. Honest love. Healing love.

Yin asanas are so much more than poses. They are sacred prayers. Invitations to soften, surrender, listen, and remember. The breath becomes the anchor, the guide, the medicine.

To my Sacred 5… thank you for your honesty, your vulnerability, your hearts, and the beautiful energy each of you brings into this world. Watching you grow, trust yourselves, and hold space for one another was such a privilege.

This mama hen is beyond proud. So proud of the humans you are becoming and the healing you will continue to share with others.

✨This week’s teacher feature✨

🦚Victor🦋

Slow Sana
Union 💙

In an effort to stay sane and centered through the process of post-layoff job hunting — and find a longer-term alternative to competitive dancing — Victor started practicing yoga regularly in December 2018. The rest, as they say, is history!

After broadening his practice at studios across the country, he decided to deepen his knowledge by pursuing a 200-hr teaching certification, which he completed in March 2023. With a basis in Baptiste yoga, Victor started teaching A-Sana Power; then, in an effort to slow down on and off the mat, he completed a 30-hr restorative teacher training in September 2024 and transitioned to prioritizing Slow Sana flows. He hopes to participate in a yin training soon to further expand his teaching repertoire.

Having experienced the various benefits of asana, breath work, and philosophy, Victor firmly believes that developing a yoga practice can benefit anyone. And as a queer, first-generation, Filipino-American man, he hopes his presence in the yoga studio encourages and empowers other folks from underrepresented communities to pursue their own yoga journey.

Outside of the studio, Victor works in operations for a digital product agency, enjoys watching rom-coms and competition reality shows, and spends as much time as he can exploring the world through culinary, creative, and cultural experiences.
