Three disc designs for the 2026 German Disc Golf Championships. 🥏🌿

When I got asked to create three designs for the discs produced by @mvpdiscsports for the German Championships at Schlosspark Sallgast, I knew I wanted them to tell the story of this special place.

⛪🌳 THE CATHEDRAL

One of the signature holes runs through an impressive old tree-lined avenue. Look up and you’ll understand why it’s called “The Cathedral”: the branches meet above the fairway like the ribs and arches of a Gothic ceiling.

A cathedral that isn’t actually a cathedral – architecture made of branches, leaves and light.

🐸🏰 THE CASTLE PARK

The second design brings together some of Sallgast’s most characteristic elements: the castle, huge rhododendrons, the pond with its water lilies – and the frogs.

When the park gets quiet in the evening, you can hear their croaking echoing through the grounds. So naturally, one of them had to find its way onto a disc.

🪷 THE WATER LILY

The third design is more abstract: a water lily motif, almost like a mandala, inspired by the leaves and plants floating on the water. A calm counterpart to the Cathedral and the Frog.

Three completely different designs, all born from the same place – and hopefully three little stories of Sallgast that will live on beyond this championship.

A huge thank you to @mvpdiscsports for making this possible and bringing my designs to life on these beautiful discs. 🙏

And an equally huge thank you to @blackacediscgolf_niederlausitz and everyone who put so much work into making this championship happen. ❤️

Being part of this event was already special. Being able to contribute a small piece of its visual identity made it even more so.

And now holding these discs in my hands on the course that inspired them – pretty damn cool. 🥏

Looking Back at the 2025 German Disc Golf Championships 🥏

Three weeks ago, the 40th German Disc Golf Championships took place in Schmallenberg, in the Sauerland region.
Over the course of four days, nearly 150 participants battled for the title on a fantastic and truly challenging course, in amazing weather marked by plenty of wind and sunshine.

I hadn’t played the course before and was completely blown away – wow, that was fun! Everything was perfectly prepared: the baskets, the tees, the OB lines. Overall, the event was very well organized.

I went into the competition without any real expectations – my wish was simply to maybe even make it into the top 10.
After four more or less solid but at least satisfying rounds, I ended up finishing 12th.
But once again, I managed not to get upset, not to feel sorry for myself, and just had a really good time, especially with my fellow competitors.

Review Chili Open 2025 🌶️ in Lörrach, Germany

It took me quite a while to recover from the tournament weekend—it was cold, it was windy, and at times, there was even rain. It was really unpleasant, and it took a few days to get back to normal body temperatures 🥶

I couldn’t quite pull off my best performance, but I managed to keep one important thing throughout the entire weekend: the fun of playing and a good mood. I was never frustrated or in a bad mood—I truly enjoyed the time.
A huge thank you again to all the helping hands from @discgolf.loerrach and for the amazing photos!

Now, in two weeks, it’s off to another favorite course at Schloss Sallgast with my sweetheart @mama_mary_2.0 and the kids 🥳 by @victor_braun

Year after year… 🥏

As every year, my disc golf season kicks off with the Chili Open at Grütpark in Lörrach 🌶️
Over the weekend, we play 27 holes per day—a real challenge for both body and mind.

I had an amazing time with the best doubles partner @_crushtopher 🥳 big thanks for the awesome round!
We shot a -20 and just barely finished in second place.

Tomorrow, the real tournament begins, marking the start of the first round.

My main goals for this tournament weekend:
Have fun, push through, and hit an ace—because there’s a massive ace pool up for grabs!

Thanks to the guys from @discgolf.loerrach for this incredible event, and to @thoughtspaceathletics for the support and all the awesome discs and gear—it’s just so much fun! by @victor_braun

🥏 Here’s my brief recap of this year’s German Disc Golf Championships in early September in Hanover 🥏

For various reasons, which I won’t go into here, I haven’t been able to train recently—so I couldn’t have any expectations regarding my performance.
However, my first round on Thursday was absolutely terrible, and improving by seven throws in the second round wasn’t exactly a masterpiece either. But with my ace in the third round and a significantly better round overall, I even managed to qualify for the final round, which I started off incredibly strong but unfortunately didn’t finish very well.

The whole event was really special: the course itself was fantastic, impeccably prepared, and aesthetically very appealing. The amenities and all the side events were well organized and plentiful.

My first big thank you goes to @mama_mary_2.0 for letting me be away for a few days and handling everything at home again!

Of course, a huge thank you to the @discgolf_funaten for these successful championships and the incredible organization.

And of course, thanks to my sponsor @thoughtspaceathletics thanks to your Pathfinder, I was able to score a great ace and return home with a nice bundle of cash!

🥏 36th BERLIN OPEN DISCGOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS 🥏

Last weekend, the 36th Berlin Open took place - what an insanely awesome tournament ☀️

In 2010, it was my very first PDGA disc golf tournament -
I was freaking 10 years old 🤭 (and got a nice consolation prize for my last place).

Somehow, this season seems to be going pretty well for me. Apart from my second round, which is typically always really bad, and a not-so-successful semifinal, I managed to play my way to the top in the first and third rounds and almost caught up to the first-place finisher in an exciting showcase final.

2nd place at the Berlin Open - I am really, really happy with the result and my game.

Next stop is the 5th Sängerstadt Open in Finsterwalde, I look forward to seeing you all. by @victor_braun

💥 Winner of the Wide Wing Whistler Wiesenburg 2024 💥

This Sunday, our club „Hyzernauts“ hosted the second tournament in Wiesenburg.

Despite physical exhaustion from helping with course setup and organization on-site and a rather weak result after the first round, I managed to climb to first place and win the tournament with the best second round of the entire field of participants.

Without you, none of this would be so easily possible!
You have some truly irreplaceable discs that I can always rely on!

I’m already looking forward to the next big tournament „The 36th Berlin Open in two weeks.
I played my very first tournament here in 2001, at the age of 11.
I’m curious to see if I can maintain my surprisingly good form and finally perform well in this tournament. by @victor_braun
