Yesterday while organizing some books a copy of a back issue of @bluemoonmagazine (Issue 3, 2017) fell over my head… I haven’t seen this in years and I believe this is the only time that a work of mine has been published anywhere apart from a couple random exhibition catalogs.

@leahgudmundson who is the editor nicely presented the work like this 🙃:

Rhizomatic vision, transverse thought, mazed diligence.

The following work, comprised of 24 images taken with his mobile device during routine daily walks, is randomly paired with 24 texts. Each text was made by extracting words from 24 individual press releases from New York City commercial gallery exhibits during the month of September 2017. The result is a serendipitous marriage of text and image speaking to the often missed beauty in the mundane and the transformation of superfluous commercial art jargon into a poetic patchwork.

Funny enough I just learned that @leahgudmundson is coming to town to present the latest issue of @bluemoonmagazine this coming week at @entrance.nyc I can't wait to hang out! by @victorestherg
