Sat 9/12, pianist and composer VICTOR GOULD brings a genre-spanning voice to the room, one @downbeat_mag has called a "new and important compositional voice." @victorgould has been a first-call sideman for Jazzmeia Horn's Grammy-nominated records, and a longtime collaborator with trumpeter Jeremy Pelt and the Black Art Jazz Collective, for whom he composed the title track of their 2020 release Ascension. This is a short intro from a special night a little over a month ago, performing ā€˜Everything I Loveā€™ by Cole Porter at the @jazzcultural in NYC. Each moment on that stage reminded me why I love this music. #jazzcultural #coleporter #everythingilove #nycjazz taken in Jazzcultural by @victorgould

A clip from our 2-night run at @mezzrowjazzclub last month. We had a blast! All 4 sets were packed, and the audience brought incredible energy. This is an original of mine, ā€œResilience.ā€ The song has evolved quite a bit over the years. I first recorded it on my @crisscrossjazzrecords album, Earthlings. You can check out more from the show on the Smalls Live website. #jazzpiano #nycjazz taken in Mezzrow by @victorgould
