Last night I made my Conducting Debut with the Peninsula Music Festival!
This was extremely special for me, since I grew up watching my parents play in this world class orchestra, and it is an honor to be a member of the cello section. So many of the musicians and community here are like family.
Many thanks to maestro Rune Bergman for inviting me to conduct Mendelssohn’s lively String Symphony No.10, and to the musicians of the PMF for playing so beautifully!
Come see our nine amazing concerts in Door County, WI next August!!

So pleased to share another radio/podcast episode of The Classical Scene, featuring my former students who were both former concert masters of the Pinellas Youth Symphony!! I’m grateful to my talented younger colleagues for sharing their stories with me. I hope you enjoy, and if you know a young musician, let them know we are holding auditions for PYS! We would love to expand our community. Find out more at pysmusic.org

Cheers and happy summer ~

Some precious moments from conducting my arts high school orchestra last month! It was a tremendous honor to return to Douglas Anderson as the Shining Star alumnus and conduct in Extravaganza! The students played with vigor and enthusiasm, and lovingly supported their classmate Mark Magyar in his virtuosic piano performance of Beethoven 3rd concerto. I’m deeply grateful to Mrs. Watson and Mr. Griffin for inviting me to conduct the Chamber Orchestra in this beautiful event.
And thank you to my friends for coming! @heumanneric

I got to interview my mother! So happy to share this episode, and promote two events we are doing together this week in St Pete!
Thursday 3/5 at @15thstfarm we’re hosting a dinner that brings musicians and community members together. Sign up on their website for a delicious meal and conversation!
Friday 3/6 at @imaginemuseum mother and son will perform a duo recital of cello and piano music! 5-730pm, come to sit and listen, or wander around this beautiful museum!
In addition, I’m conducting the @pinellasyouthsymphony in their spring concert on 3/7 at St Pete College at 11am. Then that night I’m playing some @candlelight.concerts at @centroasturianodetampa

Busy weekend in a busy month! Hope to see you around ✌️
