Battle of the Bears photos are delivered! 🐼🐻🐻‍❄️

When the divisions deviated from the standard scaled, intermediate, and RX to panda, grizzly, and polar, I knew I had to be at this comp. Anything with such clever divisions had to be fun, and they delivered on that hunch.

@bearfitnessmn ran their in-house event like another fun day in class throwing down with your gym friends. Because that’s exactly what it was. 11 total teams and the crew brought the same energy as any large event I’ve been to - the whole room was electric all day. The events themselves challenged each division with weights, synchro movements, strategy, and engine. If you’re looking for a gym in the east metro, check this community out. They’ll welcome you as one of their own as soon as you walk in the door, and you’ll become part of the bear family.

Fall ball looked a whole lot like summer today! Zero complaints - we have a couple more weeks of games left and I’m sure the fall weather will be back in no time.

The sun and the talent on the field today was blinding, and I always love showing off how amazing these ladies are. Our best fan Riley even came by to cheer and deliver some victory donuts! We really do have the best village ☺️ by @victorialeighsnaps

Photos from OctoberFit have been delivered!

I had a blast putting together these athlete packages and trying to unlock a new, more organized corner of my brain. They turned out FANTASTIC. And, of course, I couldn’t let the comp dogs go undocumented. Good pups need their moment to shine too 🐶

Thank you to the athletes who hired me to capture their day and to the comp for letting me step in as photographer! I can’t wait to see what next year brings.

Holy buckets, @battleinthevalley athletes, volunteers, and coordinators. I hope you’ve rested and recovered from the event. This year was even bigger and better than last year, and I had to much fun photographing the day from start to finish.

Fall is in the air and girlhood is on the football field.

No matter whose sidelines I’m on, it’s all the same: ladies cheering each other on, building each other up when lil mistakes are made, chirping across the field while laughing, and discussing which underwear they’d rather wear in the awkward event they get pantsed 🌝

I had a blast sharpening current skills while dialing in new ones: doing football photos outside (very different than in the dome!), and my first ever wedding experience with the most perfect couple in an amazingly intimate venue.

Thank you, everyone, for trusting me to get all your best angles (even when you’re in the middle of a workout) and documenting one of the most special days of your life. I have more coming this weekend and for the next few weeks!!

Another Inferno in the books and this one was bigger than ever!!

We cannot say enough thank yous to everyone who made it possible, but here’s a start.. thank you to:

Our coaches for programming, cleaning, setting up, and thinking of every possible scenario for disaster and how to avoid it

Our members for stepping up as volunteers to judge, set up heats, retrieve and enter scores, medical attention when needed, giving directions on the running course, and IT help in a few situations

@upliftcoffeecompany for hanging out all day and brewing THE BEST espresso. If you haven’t tried their beans yet, we sell them in the gym!

The Jamisons for all the volunteer snacks and planning a comp with enough time for everyone to sit down, rest, and eat

EVERYONE who came in and cheered. The energy in the gym all day was unreal.

And, of course, the athletes who came in and threw down. Thank you for coming in from near and far! You were amazing at keeping the event running on schedule, knowing the workouts, and hyping each other up along the way. Please come back again next year and tell all your friends to come too!

Now it’s time to rest, but we will be back again for another year of breathing fire before you know it. 🔥
