This post is for everyone going through it. So many of us this year have had massive life changes and grief events. Not to mention everything going on in the world/society.

I share these thoughts to connect with others who might be struggling not to give up. With the acknowledgment that all of this is easier said than done.

Sooo how am I doing???
- Last week was mostly work, seeing friends, packing, and getting to the point of like… knowing it’s really happening and feeling really surreal about it. This week will be more work and packing, and I leave on Saturday! 🤯

- Honestly I don’t know how to wrap my head around the grief of what I’m leaving behind, which is real despite knowing this move is for my own peace, freedom, and better things (and also needing to get TF out of this desert lol.) I think that will all end up getting processed on the other side.

- Super grateful to have gotten to see some good live music this week with people I love dearly.

- But like. yall. Someone who’s been through heartbreak that feels like your soul has been ripped from your body and your heart has been stomped on and put back together to be stomped on again over and over again… please tell me it’s going to get better lol. 4 months and the pain does not feel less intense. A little easier to deal with but still just as painful. And not being able to clean things up or say a proper goodbye or get actual closure before I move 3 states away…. Like good lord.
(And yes, I know it will get better but fuuuuukkkkk)

- I don’t know if I booked a big enough moving truck 😂😅

Honestly this has been a difficult process and realization to come to. A lot of mental health, self harm and substance abuse challenges have been a part of my journey partially because of all the shame I was told I had to carry for just the things that made me human.

Maybe I’m saying this more to myself than anyone else but it feels important.

(full disclosure, I mostly play piano for me, i am aware that I am subpar at it, and I don’t share a lot, this is me just making shtuff up and trying to be brave about sharing and being raw and real.)

What happens when we change power source or
Update the software? Change the hardware?

Who is the person that we become as we break and piece ourselves back together time after time.

Do we forget to enjoy the moment when always searching for the next upgrade?
