Before starting skin camouflage, there are 3 things I wish every client fully understood. 🤎

✨ 1. We focus on color contrast, not texture. Skin camouflage is designed to help scars and stretch marks blend in with the surrounding skin. It won’t remove indentations, raised scars, or change the texture of your skin.

✨ 2. Your estimated number of sessions is just that an estimate. Every scar and every body heals differently. Some clients may need fewer sessions than expected, while others may need more. Anyone guaranteeing an exact number of sessions before seeing how your skin responds is overpromising.

✨ 3. The darkening phase is part of the process. Your treated area may temporarily appear darker before the color settles. This phase can last 40–60 days, and it’s important not to panic or judge your results too early. How long your skin takes to progress through this phase helps determine when we can safely schedule your next session.

Skin camouflage is a process, not an overnight fix. 🤎 Understanding what to expect is just as important as choosing the right artist.

That’s why I believe education and realistic expectations should ALWAYS come before treatment.

If I were looking for a PMU trainer today, these are 3 things I’d be paying attention to 👀

1. Fact-checking their methods.
Don’t just accept a technique because a trainer teaches it. Research the method, understand why they use it, and ask yourself: Is this actually the best technique for the specific service I’m trying to master?

2. Over-selling.
Be careful with big promises like “you’ll make $10K your first month” or feeling pressured to buy course after course after course. A good education should give you the knowledge and skills to build your own business—not make you feel like you constantly need to purchase the next thing.

3. Continued support.
This one is non-negotiable for me. You will ALWAYS have questions later. You’ll work on a client and run into something you didn’t expect. You’ll need another set of eyes, clarification, or guidance. That support matters just as much as what you learn on day one.

Your trainer isn’t just someone you’re paying to teach you a technique. You’re investing in the foundation of your career. Choose wisely. 🤎

Fresh results are beautiful… but they’re only part of the story. 🤎

This is my client’s lip neutralization journey from her initial session, to her color boost, to seeing her lips again nearly 2 years later, BEFORE her next touch-up.

The color will always fade over time, but what I’m looking at is HOW it faded.

Did the color stay true?
Did the tone remain balanced?
Did it develop unwanted warmth or an unexpected muddy/ashy shift?
How much pigment was retained?

Long-term healed results give us information that a fresh result simply can’t.

As an artist, I want to understand not just how my work looks when my client leaves my studio, but how it behaves in the skin over time.
