VidaMed had the amazing opportunity this summer to teach essential first aid skills to a community in the Gomoti Plains of Botswana called Ditshiping. They are located 8 hours away from Maun and from the nearest hospital. The Ditshiping community live in huts made of elephant dung and have a local school founded by the South African foundation as a donation to the community. Because the nearest hospital is so far away, Andrés taught the local school’s staff CPR, control of a severe bleed, and other essential first aid skills so they would be better prepared for any situation. Also due to their lack of resources, VidaMed donated both a tourniquet and a CPR dummy so they are able to practice the taught skills 🇧🇼🫀 taken in Botswana Africa by @vidamedinc

CPR and AED awareness is THIS week! The American Heart Association celebrates 100 years of lifesaving service as a global force from June 1st - 7th ⛑️VidaMed had the opportunity this week to teach essential skills like CPR, usage of an AED, Epipen, and tourniquet to all the camp counselors and summer camp faculty at American Heritage #cprsaveslives taken in Plantation, Florida by @vidamedinc

VidaMed had the opportunity to promote our cause in two 5K’s last week! 😎 On Thursday, we attended the Aden Perry Hero Event at Amerant Bank Arena where we were able to give a quick class to all the teenager volunteers and runners on adult and infant CPR. On Saturday, we attended the 5K for a Better Day hosted at American Heritage School by the Pre Medical Society in support of the Broward Health Salah Foundation #cprsaveslives 🫀 taken in Broward County by @vidamedinc

This past Friday, VidaMed had the opportunity to go to Dolphins Pediatrics to teach a BLS (Basic Life Support) Course.
