IN THE SHOP: Nova Scotia Driftwood Sculpture by Jerry Walsh – Three Birds in Flight Bring a little piece of Nova Scotia’s coastal soul into your home with this charming, handcrafted driftwood sculpture by local artist Jerry Walsh. Featuring three delicately carved birds perched in flight upon a beautifully weathered piece of natural driftwood, this one-of-a-kind creation celebrates the beauty of the sea, the simplicity of nature, and the artistry of working with found materials. The pale, softly finished wooden birds offer a lovely contrast to the driftwood’s organic curves, rich textures, and sun-worn patina. Every knot, twist, and weathered detail tells a story, giving the sculpture a wonderfully rustic character that feels right at home in a coastal cottage, farmhouse, or thoughtfully curated vintage interior. A lovely example of Nova Scotia folk art, this piece would make a distinctive accent on a mantel, bookshelf, console, or side table. IN THE SHOP: Vintage Belgian ‘Willy Biron’ Art Pottery Tobacco Jar A striking piece of vintage Belgian pottery with rustic character and sculptural appeal, this Biron Art Pottery tobacco jar is a wonderful example of the richly glazed stoneware produced in Châtelet, Belgium, a region with a long tradition of ceramic craftsmanship. The generously rounded handmade vessel features a gorgeous, mottled glaze in powder blue, sage, oatmeal and earthy brown, accented by speckles and iron-like flecks that give the surface its wonderfully organic appearance. TABAC lettering sits within a decorative rectangular cartouche on one side, while the reverse features a charming embossed pipe motif—a fitting tribute to the traditional tobacco jar. The original Poterie d’Art W. Biron, Châtelet label remains attached, adding to its vintage appeal. The workshop is associated with Belgian potter Willy Biron (1917–1980), whose family pottery became known for its artistic stoneware and distinctive decorative glazes. Equally at home among antique books, warm wood furniture and collected curiosities, it brings a little European pottery history and old-world charm to any space. 5 3/4” Diam 5 1/2” high $60 💬DM to purchase or 🛜Shop online at https://www.hellogarcons.com/shop 📫Shipping 🇨🇦 📍Pick up in Rose Bay 🖤Love what you buy - All sales final by @viedegarcons
Had a wonderful time sourcing on the Côte d’Azur 💙 In the south of France, there is a softness to the light, a gentleness to the rhythm of life and always time to have a chat over an espresso. Grateful for the people we’ve met and the stories they shared. Their authenticity is inspiring. I can’t wait to unwrap the treasures I’ve collected along the way. ✨ God please help me not to try and keep everything for myself!! ( 👀 Looks around the house for the smallest square inch of shelf and wall space 😂) Looking forward to sharing pieces available for purchase with all of you over the coming weeks, in the shop, and online. I’m hoping to have the shop open until Nov 21st, weather permitting, DM me if you want to stop by before I close for the season 😘 by @viedegarcons
