So pleased to have my work in THE BEST OF ACRYLICS magazine published by Artists Magazine & American Artist! Fall 2026. It’s always an honor for my work to be recognized and to stand beside outstanding creatives in the art community! PEEK-A-BOO was painted for a Whimsy exhibition and things became pretty silly in my studio! Sometimes a girl just has to have a little fun! A fun detail is that the Collector who purchased this painting is a neuropathologist. Brilliance and silliness are lovely companions..

PEEK-A-BOO 👀 Visually strange and charismatic, this roseate spoonbill was painted for a WHIMSY exhibition on South Padre Island, Texas, and my collection was The Pink Parade. The spirit of this series was playful and slightly theatrical, and Peek-A-Boo celebrated the elegance and awkwardness that makes these coastal birds so memorable. Peeking around the translucent panel, this goofy guy seems curious, cautious, and quietly humorous all at once, which brought smiles to many of the viewers. Art speaks to our senses before it speaks to our intellect, and I wanted this painting to be light hearted and engaging. Goal accomplished!

So pleased to receive an Honorable Mention in the PET PROJECT featured in the Artists Magazine. Congratulations to all the other artists! This award is a wonderful validation as I continue working on my new series The Cat Chronicles.

My painting, FOOTLOOSE, was inspired by Lizzie, my cat named after Elizabeth Siddal, an English artist, art model, and poet who posed for the Pre-Raphaelites and became Rossetti’s muse. My warehouse studio has 7 resident cats who are now my muse as I begin The Cat Chronicles. It’s time for them to bring in a paycheck. 😁

Not all flowers belong to a garden and some gardens are cultivated in the mind of an artist.

“Sacred Node” 36”X12”

An orchid, perhaps…or something more ancient disguised as a flower. A relic, a message.

At the easel intuition, memory, and spirit intersect. I’m so grateful when I am invited into this state of perception.

Wishing everyone a fabulous Sunday!

Love from here❤️

Tattered and broken but precious in His sight!🙏 As a painter, for me, Flowers are a metaphor as I walk through this life. I’m eternally grateful for the strength to endure the forces of nature and for each new beginning.

LOOKING FOR THE MAGIC…….
Beautiful color and textures are waiting for interesting content. I’m searching for the next steps, the unexpected steps that are exciting and expressive. I’m chasing the unknown and whistling in the wind until they arrive. Painting is the easy part… deciding what I want to say is the challenge.

UNMAPPED 60”X36” Acrylic on Canvas

At this stage in my career as a painter, abstraction becomes a journey—an intentional step into unmapped areas. Maybe it is replacing the travel experiences that I miss for the moment. The process sharpens my intuition and without imagery or a destination, color and shape are my guides. I love the exploration, and creative risks. I hope you will feel the joy and energy in this painting that I experienced while creating it. VIVA ARTE!!!
