How do you add depth to a luxury interior without overpowering the design?

At The Trafalgar St. James, an award-winning hotel overlooking Trafalgar Square, our Veneto Venetian plaster was used throughout the ground floor areas.

With it’s subtle movement, soft depth and refined finish, Veneto complements the hotel’s contemporary interiors while adding character to the surfaces.

It’s a good example of why the finish needs to be considered as part of the wider design scheme, particularly in a premium hospitality environment.

A lot of our work starts around a table.

Samples, material palettes, reference images and conversations with architects and interior designers, often long before anybody gets to site.

Choosing a decorative finish involves more than selecting a colour.

The location, lighting, surrounding materials and intended use of a space all influence which finish will work best.

At Viero UK, we work alongside architects, interior designers and contractors to help identify suitable finishes, develop samples and support specifications.

Getting these decisions right early on makes a difference to the finished space.

The right finish can add depth, warmth, and character, turning an ordinary wall into the focal point of a room.

On site with the applicators.

A closer look at the hand application involved in creating Viero's decorative finishes.

The tools, technique and way the material is worked across the surface all contribute to the finished appearance.

At Magasin du Nord in Copenhagen, Viero UK created textured concrete-effect finishes for the department store's urban streetwear and activewear space.

Inspired by skate culture and brutalist architecture, the interior combines different materials to reflect an urban environment.

Our finishes were applied predominantly to the walls, with additional applications to furniture legs, tables and benches throughout the space.

The standard paint era is over.

Viero UK finishes bring something to a surface that standard paint simply can’t replicate.

Concrete effect with an unexpected detail.

Across three storeys of this Dalston home, Viero UK created a bespoke faux concrete finish with an iridescent glaze for the stairways and landings.

The finish was developed to complement the existing polished concrete flooring, introducing subtle sheen and texture without overpowering the interior.

One finish, different interiors.

Veneto is a versatile decorative plaster that can be used to achieve a range of looks, from smooth, understated surfaces to more textured finishes.

Across these projects, different colours and applications show how Veneto can be adapted to suit the surrounding architecture and interior design.

Sometimes the surface is the most interesting part of a room.

Ghibli, Viero's natural quartz finish, introduces a finely textured surface with subtle tonal variation.

In a minimal interior like this, natural light draws attention to the texture, giving the walls character without the need for bold colours or patterns.
