An abandoned Soviet housing settlement, hidden deep in the forest.

Until the early 90s, soldiers and their families lived here. They belonged to a nearby military airfield, one of the most important bases of the Soviet Air Force in East Germany. When the troops withdrew, everything was left behind: prefab apartment blocks, murals, mosaics and a concrete statue of a soldier.

Since then, the forest has been reclaiming the site piece by piece. Birch trees grow out of the roofs, moss creeps across the stairwells, and the empty windows reflect nothing but trees. Because it looks so much like the ghost town near Chernobyl, the urbex scene has given the settlement a nickname of its own.

Golden hour in Nuremberg 🍂✨

Sandstone glowing in the October sun, the Frauenkirche towering over the Hauptmarkt, half-timbered houses reflected in the Pegnitz, and endless views from the Imperial Castle. Oh, and Santa is already climbing the lampposts, practicing for Christmas market season 🎅

Some cities are made for autumn. Nuremberg is one of them. 🧡

A few days in Vienna and already a little in love. 🤍
Coffee, beautiful facades and something to admire around every corner.

📍 Schönbrunn Zoo, Vienna

The oldest zoo in the world and still full of surprises. From playful pandas to majestic elephants and curious penguins, you could watch for hours and discover something new on every visit. 🐼🐘🐧

Between golden light and endless garden paths ✨

Some places feel like time moves just a little slower there. Schönbrunn is one of them. I wandered the tree-lined avenues for hours, let the Gloriette wait for me, and simply took it all in: the façade in that signature Schönbrunn yellow, the flower beds, the people stopping to stare in awe just like I did.

A piece of imperial history, a touch of Viennese ease, and so much calm right in the middle of the city. 🤍

Just a few impressions of Leipzig, not really my favorite city.

It doesn't necessarily have to be the place itself that is special, not if the people there make it so!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so what are 20 worth? 📸✨
Visiting Tierpark Görlitz was a joy once again: unique, incomparable, and home to the best animal residents around.

Always worth a visit! 🦓🦒
