We’re delighted to welcome @vigourandskills, champions of craftsmanship and the extraordinary makers they represent, to the Fair. They’re bringing a programme of hands-on workshops, each led by makers who love sharing their craft. Swipe through to meet the makers.

You could make a wreath, print your own crackers and cards, shape clay ornaments, stamp a leather keyring, dress a table with winter botanicals and so much more besides.

Each session is an hour of calm in the merriment, between browsing the marquees. You’ll learn something new, take home something made by your own hands, perhaps tuck it away as the most thoughtful gift of all and leave feeling rather pleased with yourself.

Kate Brigden is an artist and ceramic maker working from her garden studio in the South Downs. With a background in fine art, she uses clay as a canvas, creating handmade stoneware pieces that are individually hand-painted, making each one unique.

There are many new pieces to discover, from her playful Celia collection to the beautifully patterned Nessa range.

We’ve brought a really lovely selection of handmade pieces from some of our UK makers to the Craft Tent at the Daylesford International Sheepdog Championships.

Ceramics, leatherwork, textiles, baskets, glass, woodwork and botanical pieces, all made by independent makers and available to buy today.

Which workshop would you love to join next?

Workshops are an important part of what we do at Vigour and Skills. They are a way to get closer to handmade work, to understand the time, skill and care behind the pieces we sell, and to spend time with the makers who keep these crafts alive.

We’ve added a workshop interest page to our website, where you can browse the workshops we offer at our studio in Burford and tell us which ones you’d love to join.

Your interest helps us plan future dates around the people who genuinely want to come.

We can also organise private workshops for teams, birthdays, groups of friends and creative days out in the Cotswolds.
