From Bali to Dili. 🇮🇩🇹🇱🎬

BANDIT screened under the stars at the Dili International Film Festival 2026, and we couldn’t have asked for a more memorable setting.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Beachside Cinema and shared the night with BANDIT. It means so much to see our Indonesian film continue its journey and connect with audiences across borders.

And a special thank you to the Dili International Film Festival for welcoming BANDIT to Timor-Leste. 🖤

Until next time, Dili! #banditindili #diliinternationalfilmfestival #banditfilm #gatratiar taken in Dili by @vikingsunsetstudios

Semusim (A Season) has officially screened at the Dili International Film Festival 2026! 🎬

On October 1, our film met its audience on the big screen in Dili, and the response was beyond what we hoped for. There was laughter, there were tears, and there was a room full of people feeling the story together.

Watching it with a happy audience reminded us why we make films in the first place. 🌅

Thank you to the Dili International Film Festival team for the warm welcome, to everyone who came to watch, and to our cast and crew who made Semusim possible.

Not all films are made the same way 🎬

Indie, blockbuster, and commercial same industry, completely different ways of working. From a handful of crew to hundreds, from months of prep to just 24 hours to wrap.

You can walk through a restaurant. You rarely get to see it breathe.

A rooftop vantage over Viking Sunset Studios. A pool that spills straight into the horizon. Trays carried by staff in traditional Balinese attire, drinks poured as the tide rolls in over Abian Kapas, a stretch of black sand, and a hidden cliff and cave found nowhere else along this coast. Seen from the sky, it's not a set it's a coastline that just happens to have a restaurant on it.
This is SAGA the way the sunset sees it.

Come before the sun goes down, and see for yourself why we built everything here

There’s something about seeing a place from above that changes how you understand it.

From the ground, SAGA feels intimate the clink of glasses, the warmth of the lights, the quiet hum of conversation. But from up here, you start to see the bigger picture. The way the coastline wraps around us, the way the light moves across the space as the day turns to evening, the way everything we’ve built quietly comes together into one frame.

This is more than just a restaurant and bar by the water. It’s a space shaped by its surroundings the sea, the sky, the golden hour that shows up right on time.

We wanted to show you SAGA the way we see it when no one’s watching. From above, in motion, exactly as it is.

SAGA. Seen from above, felt from within.

Some stories are best told through the lens. 🎥

We had the honor of capturing the Harley Davidson Tabanan Chapter as they celebrated another year of brotherhood, the open road, and everything that comes with it.

A night filled with roaring engines, warm conversations, and a whole lot of community spirit beautifully hosted at SAGA Restaurant & Bar, Bali.

This celebration was made even more meaningful with the support of Scholars of Sustenance, whose mission continues to inspire the way we think about food, community, and giving back.

Grateful to have been behind the camera for a night like this.

Some stories aren't just history they're a reminder of what freedom costs. 🎬

PELURU SENJA: THE GHOST & THE GUN, a war drama set in 1948 Malaya, follows two soldiers Iz and Abe left behind after the British military withdraws. They must confront Chin Liu, a former ally who betrayed them during the war and now leads an armed group threatening their village.

Directed by Anshul Tiwari and written by Abhi Kumar, the film stars Fabian Loo, Hazman Al-Idrus, and Asmara Abigail. It was shot entirely in Bali across 14 custom-built sets recreating 1940s Malaya one of the first war films to be produced there in full.

The team aimed for historical accuracy without losing the pace of a modern action thriller, and chose to release the film on Independence Day weekend to connect younger audiences with the human cost behind the history books.

Catch it in cinemas nationwide across Malaysia starting August 28, 2026, distributed by @mskcinemas.

Sometimes, you just have to see the bigger picture. 😜🎬

And sometimes… the bigger picture looks better with fine dining.🍽️✨

From the cinematic world of Viking Sunset Studios to the fine dining experience at @sagarestaurantbar.bali .bali, this is where film production meets gastronomy a fusion so unexpected, even The Odyssey couldn’t resist. ⚔️🌊

Shot on the ARRI ALEXA Mini LF an IMAX-certified camera built for the BIG picture. Because when you’re going epic, why think small? 👀

Where the frame gets bigger, the story gets richer, and the dining gets… cinematic.

Even Odysseus would probably stop sailing for this one. 😏

The Ghost and the Gun had its gala premiere on August 22nd, and we could not be prouder to have been there.

Our founder Bo H. Holmgreen @boholmgreen and Vivian Ikdayah @vivian_ikda represented Viking Sunset Studios on the night, celebrating a film shot on our own Tabanan backlot with fourteen purpose-built period sets.

And this is only the beginning of its journey. The Ghost and the Gun premieres in Malaysia on August 28th in Kuala Lumpur. If you are there, do not miss it.

More to come soon.
