Oh hey it me. Thanks @glamourmag . Full feature chatting about replacing animal materials with innovative materials made from plants, not plastic. Using animals for fashion (or anything) will never be the answer going forward. Animal agriculture is a top contributor to climate change, biodiversity loss, ocean acidification, deforestation, zoonotic disease, antibiotic overuse, and other nasty things we need to avoid. ⠀ Story covers @theveganfashionshow . PR by @lenolapr (apply now for PR representation to land top tier press like this for yourself/ your own brand!) 💜 ⭐️ ⠀ 👗 🍃 Wearing real oversized leaves by UK fashion designer @sarahregensburger_official . She’s dressed celebs like Taylor Swift! 📸 Super talented photographer and friend @jimorgillphotography . Gold cork luxury vegan 👜 @luckynelly_berlin . Purple luxury vegan 👜 made with @nuvi.earth ‘s plastic free, plant based leather alternative called Creta, by @luckynelly_berlin and coated with their proprietary vegetable glitter ✨ Gold 👠 made with 🍎 AppleSkin by @empress_of_heels . MUA: @madelinesbg_makeup ⠀ *** ⚠️ Warning to people in the fashion/ modeling industry. This is a real magazine feature in a real magazine. There are people out there selling features in fake magazines that are dupes of real magazines. For example, “Cosmopolitan Canada” or “Elle Weekly” are not real 😂 They even make fake websites that are knockoffs. For example, “Harpersbazaarusa . com” is a dupe of “harpersbazaar . com” 🤭 If someone is telling you that you can be in a big publication for only a couple hundred bucks without having done anything to earn it, it sounds too good to be true because it is. If you want to earn media coverage and be in real magazines you need a real publicist to take you on as a client. Whether you apply to my public relations firm @lenolapr or another experienced one. ⠀ by @vikkilenola
It’s in Vogue to be compassionate 💁🏻‍♀️ Full feature interview in @voguemagazine @voguemexico covering the event I produce, @theveganfashionshow , how and why we advocate for animal-free fashion (and next-gen materials in particular). Also… how stylish it can be! Congrats to all of the designers, models, photographers, and backstage team’s work in the article. ⠀ Wearing the Duality dress 👗 by UK vegan fashion designer @sarahregensburger_official and carrying a tote bag made from banana crop 🍌 waste for Hultz Prize-winning textile company, @banofileather . 📸 @sporkophoto ⠀ Apply on the @lenolapr website to be featured in top tier media like Vogue, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Harper’s Bazaar, Forbes, Entrepreneur, Playboy, Maxim, Rolling Stone, OK Magazine etc. (I stopped posting on IG when my agency blew up last year! Catching up is on the to do list, ugh). Link in bio. 👉 🌐 www.LenolaPR.com ⠀ Reject harming and exploiting animals 🚫 Compassion is always in fashion 🦊💚✔️ ⠀ by @vikkilenola
Thank you @forbes for featuring @theveganfashionshow, along with the upcoming documentary that exposes animal exploitation in the fashion industry, @slay.film, which I’m fortunate to be an assistant producer for. The Vegan Fashion Show is “a charitable and educational fashion show”. All proceeds benefit @animaljustice_ and we are sponsored by @projectumano. Check out our new website for more about our team and special guests. Follow our social media for show updates and vegan fashion news 🌱 🗞 There is so much more information in the article of course (link in bio/ Forbes story highlight!) but here are the next-gen, animal-free materials of the handbags in the photo! From left to right: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Mirum handbag by Melina Bucher - Hemp handbag by @anemaofficial - Teak leaf leather handbag by @gnlaccessories - Corn leather handbag by @miomojo_italia - Berriestex micro bag by @luckynelly_berlin - Cactus leather wallet by @cacto_official Photo credit: @preacher_photography These materials are, by far, much better for the environment than animal leather. To learn more about this, check out our campaign video on The Vegan Fashion Show’s website - where you can also enter to win a plant-based handbag or wallet! 👜 Public relations by @lenolapr. by @vikkilenola

This Monday we’re giving away more free t-shirts and tote bags with Save the York 9 🐒❤️ messaging for students to wear around campus at York University. ⠀ The York 9 are rhesus macaque monkeys needlessly being experimented on at York University in Toronto. Some of them have been there for over 17 years 😔 An @lc4a undercover investigation revealed their ongoing suffering that has been hidden from the public. Not only is this animal experimentation cruel, it’s old outdated science. At a time when the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union are moving away from animal testing, we hope to see Canada do the same. Students at York University deserve a better education. They deserve to learn the science of the future; human relevant, Non Animal Methods. ⠀ Photo from organizing a past protest and outreach. With Co-Organizers I’m so grateful for and admire tremendously. The @to.antivivisection team and @jenny.ar.mcqueen & @peaceful.peter from @dxetoronto @animalrightstoronto . Thank you @get_yorked for your help spreading the word as well. ⠀ If you’re a York University student or otherwise involved with the institution and want to help Save the York 9, please reach out. ⠀ Everyone can learn more and take action at: 👉 https://www.SavetheYork9.com Link in bio. by @vikkilenola
Wearing plant based corsets on stage at @theveganfashionshow in partnership with the @womenshow Ottawa. These corsets are by Canadian designer @briiskie_bobbins_fashion , made from @desserto.pelle a.k.a. cactus 🌵 leather. ⠀ Here I’m doing live interviews with our designers that showcased vegan and sustainable fashion collections on both day 1 & 2: @no.49handbags @euroglam.ca @kimonoirdesign ⠀ 📸 Pics 1-3: @monopodpictures ⠀ During the shows I’m also the stage manager where I sit with the visual/ audio team, and provide brief educational talks, sponsor shoutouts, and giveaway announcements on stage while the models do quick changes. Thank you to our Co-Producer @jessica_embro , backstage team, designers, models, hair stylists, makeup artists, and the media. Together we’re helping to make fashion kinder and more sustainable. by @vikkilenola
Meow 🐈‍⬛ What are you being for Halloween? Model/ dancer for @fyeultraclub X @starmuse_ent . by @vikkilenola
Made from cactus 🌵 On stage at @theveganfashionshow in Ottawa wearing a corset made from @desserto.pelle , aka cactus leather, by Canadian designer @briiskie_bobbins_fashion . 📸 @monopodpictures . The cacti only require natural rainfall for water, enhance biodiversity, enrich soil health, and they’re a natural carbon sink! ⠀ This is in stark contrast to using animals for leather which is resource intensive and outputs large amounts of methane, which contributes heavily to climate change. PS animal leather is often coated in plastic. ⠀ by @vikkilenola
