Telling AI โ€œyou are an expertโ€ can make an LLM less accurate. A new study tested the most common prompting trick people use: assigning the model an expert persona. The result was surprising:โœ… Expert personas helped with tone, writing, and safety. โŒ But on factual questions, every version they tested made accuracy worse. On a standard knowledge benchmark, it dropped from 71.6% to 68.0%.The trick everyone copies into their templates quietly backfires. This is part of why the conversation is shifting from prompt engineering to context engineering.Prompt engineering is about instructions. You tell the model how to behave: what role to play, what tone to take, what steps to follow. You write โ€œact as a senior engineerโ€ or โ€œrespond formallyโ€ and refine the wording until the output looks right.Context engineering is about information. Instead of telling the model how to act, you give it what it actually needs to work: your situation, your constraints, your data, examples of what good looks like, and what you want to avoid. The model already knows how to think. What itโ€™s missing is your context.Replit Agent 4 is built around this. You describe the outcome, it plans, researches, and builds. What this looks like in practice:โ†’ Put the outcome, constraints, and data in one brief, not piecemeal โ†’ Let the agent finish its plan before you step in โ†’ Edit elements directly on the Canvas, not in a new prompt โ†’ Skip reopening long chats for small fixes, it reprocesses everything๐Ÿ”— Get free Replit credits with link in my bio.Follow for more practical AI tips.#promptengineering #contextengineering #replitpartner #aitips by @viktoria.semaan

Iโ€™ve been struggling to produce infographics with AI that had no spelling mistakes. I kept taking the output and patching it manually in Canva. For years, we said: โ€œYou need ๐˜ข ๐˜ญ๐˜ฐ๐˜ต ๐˜ฐ๐˜ง ๐˜ฅ๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ข to train great AI models.โ€ Thatโ€™s changing.I sat down with Rev Lebaredian, VP of Simulation at NVIDIA Omniverse, who runs Physical AI. His framing reshaped how I think about training:๐˜๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฉ๐˜บ๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ค๐˜ข๐˜ญ ๐˜ˆ๐˜ ๐˜ค๐˜ฐ๐˜ญ๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ๐˜ค๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ข๐˜ญ ๐˜ฅ๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ข ๐˜ช๐˜ด ๐˜ต๐˜ฐ๐˜ฐ ๐˜ฆ๐˜น๐˜ฑ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ท๐˜ฆ, ๐˜ต๐˜ฐ๐˜ฐ ๐˜ฅ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜จ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ด, ๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ ๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ฎ๐˜ฑ๐˜ญ๐˜บ ๐˜ช๐˜ฎ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฐ๐˜ด๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ฃ๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ. So instead of data, you use compute. The new pipeline: โ€ข Pre-train the model on real-world and internet data โ€ข Generate post-training data through simulation โ€ข Post-train the model on simulated scenarios โ€ข Evaluate with policy training โ€ข Feed it back into the simulatorThe flow: Data -> Pre-Trained Model ->Post-Training data -> Post-Trained Model -> EvaluationIn other words:more simulation cycles = more training iterations = better models.Curious, how do you see simulation and synthetic data changing the future of AI training? by @viktoria.semaan

This is for anyone who feels behind. Here are 5 things I learned in my 30s that I wish someone had told me sooner.1๏ธโƒฃ Reinvent yourself as often as the world does.I started as an automation engineer. AI didnโ€™t exist. Cloud didnโ€™t exist. I couldnโ€™t have imagined going from a factory floor in West VA to speaking on stages in Paris and New York. Stay curious. Never get too comfortable with who you are today.2๏ธโƒฃ Plan long-term and invest early. Even if itโ€™s small. When I came to the US, I wasnโ€™t making much, but I invested every month. I skipped the designer bags in my 20s and built financial freedom that now lets me walk away from any role that doesnโ€™t align with my values. Thatโ€™s the real freedom.3๏ธโƒฃ Prioritize family. Especially if youโ€™re a woman.I joined tech in my mid-30s, after having 3 kids. For years I worried I was โ€œbehind.โ€ I wasnโ€™t. My kids are the accomplishment Iโ€™m proudest of. Careers can be rebuilt at 35, 45, 55. Some windows in life donโ€™t reopen.4๏ธโƒฃ Be kind. Especially to people โ€œbelowโ€ you.Early in my career, I watched leaders treat junior people like they were disposable. AI has reshuffled the deck. Some of those juniors are founders now. The hierarchy you see today wonโ€™t be the hierarchy in 5 years. Lift people up. When your network wins, you win with it.5๏ธโƒฃ Stop comparing your real life to someone elseโ€™s highlight reel.Social media is a museum of everyoneโ€™s best 2 seconds. Youโ€™re comparing your Tuesday morning to someone elseโ€™s peak moment. Celebrate the hard things youโ€™ve overcome. Thatโ€™s where real growth lives.Grateful for every chapter that brought me here ๐Ÿ™P.S. My birthday was 2 weeks ago. I guess Iโ€™m always a little lateโ€ฆ by @viktoria.semaan

Steal my exact workflow to create motion diagrams from prompts and Stop wasting time doing it by hand โ†“Here are 4 secret tips to transform any static diagram into professional motion design using Figma Make:๐Ÿ”‘ Extract brand icons: always ask Figma to extract icons as images, not recreate them. Without this one prompt, you get emoji. With it, polished brand logos every time.โœจ Animate data flow: type โ€œAnimate data flow using flow animationโ€ and watch motion paths appear for every connection, color-coded automatically.๐ŸŽฏ Point-to-edit: select the exact element you want to change and prompt directly on it. You are editing that element, not regenerating the whole diagram. You can also adjust fonts and colors manually using the UI.๐Ÿš€ Switch to Claude Opus 4: type โ€œYou are a senior motion designer at a top creative agency. Analyze this animation and take it to the next level.โ€ This is the one that takes everything to a completely different level.Impressive results right?
