“Saudade de Ti” (2022) by @la_rinascita_company unfolded last June in Vilches, Spain, during the @vildanza , beneath a sunset that seemed to hold the moment with us.In that village, surrounded by olive trees and a quiet, generous energy, the encounter between our two characters felt less like a performance and more like something truly lived…an ephemeral meeting shaped by place, light, and presence.Our gratitude goes to the entire Vildanza team, to the audience who shared that evening with us, and to all those who make these gatherings possible. On the final morning of the festival, we enjoyed the stunning views and caves of Vilches while learning about the town’s history, guided by local chronicler Juan Peña. Later, we attended a screening of “Decían que aquí no había na”, a documentary featuring Marcat Dance and five Michelin-star chefs from Jaén, directed by Jorge Fernández Mayoral.————En la última mañana del festival, disfrutamos de las hermosas vistas y cuevas de Vilches mientras aprendíamos la historia del pueblo, guiados por el cronista local Juan Peña. This year, we introduced a three-day professional dance workshop featuring festival artists Jeremy Alberge, Guy Shomroni & Anabel Barotte, and Catherine Coury.A heartfelt thank you to these incredible artists for sharing their talent, knowledge, and inspiration with us. And thank you to the wonderful dancers who traveled from all over Spain—and even from the USA—to be part of this special experience.
