For the very first time Village90 have been nominated for a @pacificmusicawardsnz award for our single "U & ME" 🏆

The nomination itself was a surprise but to then find out we were finalists in the "Best pacific group" category was very much a shock and although unexpected - we are grateful and truly honoured.

Our fellow nominees are some of our idols so regardless of who gets the award - being in the same room with you all is a win.

Thank you to our uso @nafutofilau for producing this one and to our management @augustavenuenz for helping us get here.

We hope this is the first of many. taken in Otara Hood by @village.90

Like the rest of our Polynesian community the passing of @f1j1 breaks our heart, his songs were staples in our households spanning two generations. Our parents played his music, we play his music and now we hope to keep it playing through our kids.

Being artists it hits a little harder as he was a constant source of inspiration. We are an RnB group, but we all fell in love with island reggae to start and George Veikoso was the main reason.

Few years ago we covered one of our favourite Fiji songs - so we brought it back in honour of the GOAT 🐐
