Directors fit, outfit sketches, & artistic statement I found Arsema’s Variety on a bike ride in Leslieville and fell in love with it immediately. The owner, Alan, is a collector (edging on horder) just like me, and he and his store embodied the East African spirt incredibly well. His willingness to host my collection is a kindness that I will be thinking about for a long time. Visit his store on 813 Gerrard St E for some authentic Ethiopian coffee, and vintage African collection! Thanks to @alexosodo for being so willing to photograph the shoot, and also for editing so quickly!! Also thanks to my gorgeous gorgeous friends for modelling <333 This is the first of many Village Values collections, stay tuned! by @village.values
Directors fit, outfit sketches, & artistic statement: no one tells you that one day you’ll kiss a stranger under the fluorescent glow of a sweaty club, and it will be the last time it ever feels right. had you known that it was the last time, perhaps you would have been greedier. and needier and more handsy. this collection was made in mourning of that last moment, but also in celebration of a new found sentimentality in my libidinal instinct The pole part of this collection was inspired by the fact that I learned how to twerk crazystyle recently which is unfathomably difficult for someone with a chemical predisposition for cute over sexy. These are the type of things that will move me to create these days; a slight breeze over some tall grass, contemplation of a shifting sexual appetite, watching my own ass jiggle, etc. Thank yew to my beautiful models especially @nowhere2r1 on pole, @olivia.steinberg for co styling, @nix_tography for co photography, @bovinesexclub for hosting so last min, @walrus.fc for the best pool table in the city I’m taking a breather but new collection soonish Photo by @eparkette by @village.values
