🏁 🏁 🏁 That’s a wrap on Season 5! 🏁 🏁 🏁

This past weekend, we said goodbye to VeC99, our OG electric car, at the @uofwaterloo EV Challenge.

After an epic 70-minute race, our squad placed 6th out of 18 teams—just 2 laps off our all-time best! ⚡️🚗💨

Huge shout outs to our rock star drivers, pit crew, data & media teams, and of course, our incredible Faculty Advisors for making 99’s final race one to remember. 💙

Next stop: VeC 2.0 👀⚙️

Part 2 of The VeC Racing Faculty Advisor Action Figure Collection has ARRIVED!

The 80s-inspired saga continues with two more legendary additions to the VeC Racing garage—ready to analyze, aestheticize, and maybe even advise (if you catch them before coffee).

Still AI-generated. Still fully blister-packaged. Still fueled by caffeine, curriculum, and chaotic good vibes.

Introducing…

Mr. F as “THE DATA DOMINATOR”
King of confidence intervals and wielder of regression lines, this figure sees the world in scatterplots and standard deviations. Comes prepackaged with an aura of statistical significance, a battle-scarred TI-84, a utility belt full of sticky notes, and hair combed with a brick.
Catchphrase: “The Leafs winning the Cup is statistically significant... at p < never.”

Ms. C as “THE AESTHETIC ARCHITECT”
Able to turn chaos into conceptual art in under five minutes, this creative visionary can critique a color palette at 40 paces. Accessories include dual sketchbooks, designer paintbrushes, splattered coveralls, and a freshly pulled espresso shot.
Catchphrase: “It’s time to draw the line between good and great!”

BE SURE TO COLLECT THEM ALL!

Engineering in action!

Did you know the VeC Team has to follow a strict set of engineering and design rules?

Check out how our corner gusset idea evolved—from a rough concept sketch to a CAD model to a real prototype ready for testing.

Part 1 of The VeC Racing Faculty Advisor Action Figure Collection is HERE!

Straight out of the ‘80s and into the pit lane — these AI-generated beauties are fully equipped with clipboards of wisdom, espresso-fueled stamina, and decades of unshakable sarcasm.

Each faculty figure comes in blister-packaged glory, complete with garage tools, stylish menswear, and battle-worn grading rubrics.

Supplies are imaginary. Poses are heroic. Motivation is optional.

Mr. M as “THE FORCE MANIPULATOR”
Armed with Newtonian reflexes and a magnetic personality, this faculty figure bends time (on the syllabus) and space (in the classroom). Comes equipped with a lab coat, green water bottle, and a homemade inclined plane. Warning: May spontaneously start talking about optimal conditions for charging a Tesla.
Catchphrase: “Come on man!”

Mr. A as “THE CALCULUS CRUSADER”
Master of motion, slopes, and slightly menacing integrals, this figure is known for solving problems before students even realize they’re confused. Accessories include a dry erase marker of infinite ink and a look that says, “This WILL be on the test.”
Catchphrase: “Are you kidding?!!?”

Stay tuned for Part 2 and BE SURE TO COLLECT THEM ALL!
